In case you missed it last year, the Showdown in Chinatown was one of the most memorable soccer events in New York City in recent memory. Featuring NBA stars and international soccer stars such as Steve Nash and Thierry Henry (both in yellow above), the charity game had fans climbing trees and fences to catch a glimpse of their favorite basketball and soccer stars.

The event is back and is promising to be just as fun as the first. The second annual Showdown in Chinatown is set for Wednesday (Tomorrow) at 6pm at Sarah D. Roosevelt Park in lower Manhattan and will feature the following soccer and basketball stars:

Steve Nash, Claudio Reyna, Thierry Henry, Tony Parker, Javier Zanetti, Raja Bell, Adrian Mutu, Chris Bosh, Ivan Cordoba, Grant Hill, and Giovanni van Brockhurst

Yao Ming was also listed as a participant, and if he does show up, it will make finding a seat even that much tougher.

The event is being held to help raise money for the Steve Nash Foundation and Claudio Reyna Foundation. You can go here for more information on the event and its charitable efforts.

The actual soccer game is free and open to the public. There's just the matter of getting there early enough to score a good seat. If you didn't catch last year's event, here is some video from the 2008 Showdown in Chinatown:

Will you be there on Wednesday?
