  1. Great goal by LA, Nice to see Becks run with the ball the deliver a spot on long pass with a great one touch assist by Donovan and a strong finish by Gordon.

  2. I honestly don’t understand this all-but-local blackout BS. I pay over $100 each month to get every possible soccer broadcast and still have to suffer this crap. I already pay extra for the sports package to get FSW, MSG, etc. And no more MLS on HDNet, horrible Spanish-only Telefutura MLS broadcasts on Sundays, no more Champions League on ESPN HD, US/Mexico on mun2, etc., etc., etc. No wonder few casual fans are interested in soccer. It requires major effort to watch anything and you still don’t get what you want. Damn greedy bastards and their infernal rights contracts!!!!

  3. This FSWEST commentary is awful. The one guy won’t stop talking about every Ronaldinho clip he’s ever looked up on YouTube and both of them keep saying “SEE-dorf,” which is driving me nuts.

Beautiful play by Beckham and Donovan to set up Gordon’s goal.

  4. i hope he plays friday in baltimore. i’m going to the game and wasn’t sure who to root for since i’m not a big fan of either team, but i’m gotta go for any team with an american on it.

  6. Mike, Dos Santos didn’t play in any of Mexico’s Olympic qualifiers. And it’s not just his goal in this game. He has been playing great this whole tournament. Adu on the other hand had a terrible tournament in the two games he played.

  7. DOS santos scores a goal an all of a sudden hes better? you futbol fans are soo fickle.. Didn’t adu score and assist in only 2 games? Didn’t Adu out shine Dos santos at the U 20 world cup? Didn’t Adu lead the us team to the olympics while Dos santos failed help mexico qualify?

    Yeah that what i thought…

  8. Mexico has their B+ team and is in the weakest group in this Gold Cup. They will be lucky if they end up in third in group qualifying. On the other hand, the U.S. is doing well with its C team.

  9. I don’t think Mexico is mediocre at all right now. Their past performances have been but they’ve been getting better and better in this tournament and they’ve played as a unit. If Aguirre can integrate Guardado, Castillo, and Vela successfully into his system, Mexico will have a very dangerous team.

  10. Can’t really call a corner kick an assist. But Barrera looks good. Three players from Mexico’s U17 team on display are Barrera, Dos Santos, and Juarez. If Vela had been healthy it would have been 4. Mexico is mediocre now but have a good future.

  11. That’s one goal and two assists for Dos Santos. Sorry Harry but as of right now, Dos Santos is showing to be better than Adu.

  12. “Ummm Yea cuz Dos Santos is in-form and Adu is out of form”

Dos Santos has not exactly being playing every game in the Premier league even when he was loaned out. so i don’t see the comparison here

  13. Ummm Yea cuz Dos Santos is in-form and Adu is out of form..so right now of coarse Dos Santos is gonna be better…..it was only a few months ago everybody was saying how over-hyped Dos Santos was becuase he did nothing at Tottentham couldent even make the bench and then was loaned out. My Advice to Adu is Get Playing time just like Dos Santos did recently to get back in top-form

  16. think the stadium looks great, even if a little narrow on the corners.

It is narrow and dangerous on the corners. Someone can get injured.

  17. That field in Dallas is dangerous near the corners. Someone can get seriouly injured if running to get a ball.

Stadium is not even wide enough to play World Cup Game the seating style is ugly.

  19. Chas – Maybe I’m the last to know but I’m kind of in a state of shock. I hope I can find a link to watch it on my computer at work or I’ll have to leave work with a mysterious bug. ESPN360 has definitely been spoiling me.

  20. @ Turtle,

Yes. It’s ture. Telemundo or Telefutura and Mun2.

ESPN likely tried, but couldn’t meet the asking price. Supposedly the parent company for Telemundo is using the opportunity to drive up recognition for Mun2, so they really don’t want ESPN’s money unless ESPN makes it worth their while.

USWNT beat Canada 1-0 and Abby W. got her 100th goal.

I’ve got Dish Net and get Mun 2 or whatever it is. Wonder who the announcers are going to be?
