Join the SBI EPL Fantasy League

The English Premier League season is just days away, which means it's time for a third season of the SBI EPL Fantasy League.

We have decided to stick with the same website for the league for a third straight year, the English Premier League's official fantasy game,  and invitations were sent out to owners in last year's league on Monday (CORRECTION, the league was activated on Monday. If you were in the league last year simply log into the site and the SBI Fantasy League should show up under your leagues).

I repeat, if you were in the league last year, DO NOT send an email. Just log in to the site and you'll find the SBI League under your leagues.

If you are interested in joining the SBI EPL fantasy league (or if you were in the league last year and it isn't showing up on your list of leagues), please send an email to soccerbyives@gmail.com. You can start your team today while you wait for your official invitation to join the SBI League.

As I said last week, I will be securing prizes for this year's winners (Likely the Top Five). Last year's prize situation didn't quite sort itself out but I am hoping to secure a prize sponsor before the end of the month. I am also in the process of securing a fantasy EPL writer. We lost our fantasy MLS writer a while back but there are several writers interest in being the new SBI fantasy guru, so stay tuned for that.

Are you an owner who will be returning to the league? Looking forward to filling your team with players from Burnley and Stoke? How many Americans will you have on your fantasy team?

  1. I haven’t gotten the email back yet either. Maybe someone could post the code here if they have it.

Ives is probably recovering from the Mexico trip and he’ll email us today or tomorrow.

    Can’t wait for Saturday.

  2. i hope SBI lets me join! i tried this last year and it was fun – took me a bit to get used to the points, but i prefer this vs. Yahoo’s Fantasy Football point system.

i like the Bonus points especially.

i go for cheap on GKs and spend heavily on those stars with an easy beginning of season

  3. I usually go with one good gk and one cheap one that will play, i save my money for the big earners. I have Schwarzer and Sorenson, saves me 2 euros compared to the rest of you:P

  5. i’ll be adding jozy later in the season when the hull schedule gets easier. As far as americans now dempsey is a good bet. No Burnley players they have the worst opening schedule. I have Delap and Beattie from stoke

  6. I’ll be adding Jozy too. He’ll be cheap (or should be) too. I think we’ll all have the Howard/Friedal duo. 🙂 Dempsey and Hangeland are on the squad too. Gotta rep the Yanks/Fulham.

  8. I was on last year and it still has me as a member of the “Soccer By Ives” league. Is it just transferring over or will there be a league switch?

As for City, I think Tevez has value because he’ll play every game and see at least 60 minutes. He’ll also score over a dozen goals this season.
