Next game Davies will score. I’m sure he’ll be a sub though. By September he’ll be starting if not a week or 2 before.
got spanish and portuguese down, looks like i’ll have to learn french now to follow all these guys
Talk about lost in translation, I put this commentary into a online translator
“Martin est servi dans l’axe, il fait la différence sur le contrôle et sert Davies dans la surface. L’attaquant a un passement de jambe de feu, il déborde son défenseur et semble accroché mais l’arbitre laisse jouer.”
and this came out
“Martin is served in the axis, it made the difference on the control and serves Davies, in the surface. The attacker a lock leg of fire, it goes beyond his defense counsel and seems hooked, but the arbitrator leaves play.”
If anyone has a clue what this means I would love to hear it. I took it as saying that Davies was pulled down but the ref didn’t call it. What “lock leg of fire” means i have no clue, but it sounds really cool.
“Two fingers from scoring” probably means the keeper got two fingertips to the shot.
seems like he played a pretty good 20 minutes or so, glad he didn’t play the full game, they get the win and he is still fresh for Wednesday, can’t freaking wait, i’m going to the game, gonna be amazing
i think that the 20 minutes charlie got was good on all accounts. he had enough time to impress, which he did, and he’s gonna be pretty well rested to torch the mexicants!
chuck D is impressing with his speed
3-0 for rennes! good start for boca’s campaign
froboy, i got that too. im guessing it missed his outstetched leg
seems like Charlie almost scored, google translator says he was two fingers from scoring, whatever that means
from what im getting by freetranslating the commentarry is that charlie is using his speed quite well and is very involved
I’m just so excited with anticipation. This will be a great season and perfect preparation for the WC. Quarter-finals or better 😀
Milan lost against Benfica in penalties. Apparently Gooch made a nice sliding tackle
alright thanks froboy
definitely wasn’t Boca’s goal, they have a picture of Bangoura celebrating on Rennes website
charlie is in!!! with 20 minutes
Let’s get them on the field first NATO but yes it would be fantastic. and no yanks but it seems that lyon will be dropping points in week 1
McBride scored 9goals in 36 appearances and 10goals in the same amount of appearances and 12 goals in 40 appearances a few seasons ago. So he pretty much scored 1 in every 4 games. Not bad for a striker on a relegation fodder team season after season.
But my point is he became a LEGEND at Fulham. Imagine the legends for Altidore and Davies if they can score at least 10goals in their debut season for Hull and Sochaux
hopefully it is boca. nice way to go to mexico
I have this feeling Bocanegra is going to score a goal at the WC. I wanna take bets right now.
Uefa.com isnt giving it to him. Im not watching, just saw the scoreline. I guess we’ll see when it shakes out.
thanks ptk
and Timmy check this site, it says boca
http://www.soccerway.com/matches/2009/08/08/france/ligue-1/stade-rennais-fc/union-sportive-de-boulogne-cote-dopale/778860/#
Sochaux 1-0 at the half: http://www.francefootball.fr/FF/stats/lives/166080.html
rennes 2 -0 and the goal was by Bangoura, not bocanegra.
Sochaux also leads, 1-0
BOCA GOAL!! 7th minute for rennes! sorry im a little late haha but they are up 2-0 at the half
from what i just saw. rennes scored but i dont know what the score is
Must be a nervous as hell day for Davies. He stepped up into 1 of the best leagues on the planet. If he can score 10goals, he’ll be doing quite a good job. Any more will make him a LEGEND in due time. Lycka til Yank
Benfica score in the 57th minute to go up 1-0, still no gooch.
Davies not starting today.
Can’t find a stream to the game, only thing i got is a simulcast.

can’t find any sochaux links and charlie davies on the bench.
Fire Osorio!
The Bayern Munich-Hoffenheim match was really good.
espndeportes.com has it on the front page, that guardado was hurt in a friendly friday and is questionable
link to the sochaux game anyone?
and charlie starting?
Okay: At 3:08, Setanta switched to Montpellier v PSG. That’s progress.
Now no Grenoble v. OM on Setanta. WTF?
I’m getting last week’s Dynamo Moscow v. Celtic. Anyone else having the same problem?
Sochaux play at 12:00 pm pacific time.
so in about 3 minutes.
what time is chuck d and sochaux playing?
AC Milan vs Benfica, Onyewu not starting, hopefully he gets some pt in the second half.
Give Osorio a Contract Extention.
WBA vs. Newcastle United isn’t showing on my TV right now. I guess it’s not on at 12:30pm. Bummer.
Fire Osorio.
The Championship is in it’s first full match day as well. Mighty Forest with an away point at Reading. Not a bad start for the Tricky Trees.
Wednesday’s Mexico City forecast:
Hi 77, feels like 90
Variable clouds and thunderstorms
Fire osorio!!
FIRE OSORIO!
On a another thread, someone posted Andres Guardado is injured and questionable for Wednesday’s game. Can anyone else confirm?
Wolfsburg looks tough again.
Fire Osorio
Jay Demerit and Jemal Johnson on the field right now, Mike Grella and Frank Simek on the bench now for their teams…can’t wait to see how Sochaux does.
I must admit, I’m not at all excited about anybody on the US Nats playing today & Sunday ahead of Mexico City on Wednesday. The squad should be together in Mexico City preparing right now to have a chance, but I understand that’s just not how it is and most of the US Nats will only get Tuesday to train in the high altitude and smog, after a Monday of travel. I have a bad feeling about this one. Mexico is desperate to get qualifying back on track and will not hesitate to drown the Yanks in Azteca.

way to get ’em fired up, coach! 🙂
