Arsenal shook off a terrible start to pull off a dramatic road victory while the much-anticipated clash between Inter Milan and Barcelona left fans hungry for goals.
Arsenal posted a 3-2 victoryover Standard Liege after falling behind by two goals just five minutes into the match. Eduardo da Silva scored the game-winner for Gunners in a match he would have missed if not for UEFA's overturning of his suspension for diving.
Inter Milan battled Barcelona to a scoreless drawin Italy as Jose Mourinho's men frustrated Barcelona all day. Zlatan IBrahimovic and Samuel Eto'o didn't do much against their former teams.
In other Champions League action on Wednesday, Liverpool edged Debrecini, 1-0; Lyon downed ten-man Fiorentina, 1-0; Dynamo Kiev shook off an early deficit to throttle Rubin Kazan, 3-1; Sevilla disposed of underdogs Unirea Urziceni, 2-0; Rangers tied Stuttgart, 1-1; and Olympiakos defeated AZ Alkmaar, 1-0.
What did you think of Wednesday's Champions League action? Disappointed with the Inter-Barcelona match? Impressed with Arsenal's comeback? Surprised Liverpool didn't blow out Debrecini? Impressed with Lyon?

has a team wearing pink (while the other team wasn’t) ever won a big professional match?
So Arsenal scored all their goals without diving? That’s impressive.
Barcelona looked really good in the second half, impressive how they dominated Inter. I didn’t think it was boring at all, personally.
Barcelona was always dangerous, while Inter seldom. Inter broke up Barcelona’s one two’s by obstructing the passer’s runs into the box. Ibra and Henry took way too many touches in front of goal.
Debrecini has a CONCACAF player, btw. Honduran Luis Ramos plays as a holding midfielder for them…though he has not earned a cap for senior national team.
look out for pjanic. 19 year old bosnian international. one of my favorite young players out there right now.
For some reason I really enjoyed the game. Messi said afterward that he and Ibra are still trying to learn what to expect from each other. He and Eto’o had played together a long time. So it’s too soon to make any judgments, but Ibra looks powerful and very Barca-like on the ball.
So much hype for so little action.
Barca and Inter put on a snooze fest yesterday.
Very dissapointing
Fast forwarded the last 20 minutes of the Liverpool game. Soooo boring. Besides the Burnley game have they really looked good this year at all? Gerard looks off. They miss Alonso more than they thought they would.
Glad to see Rangers pick up a point away. They just might make it out of the group stages this year.
woulda stayed 2-0 if gooch were still anchoring that D.
Barca is knocking the ball around as well as they ever have, but they’ve lost a little punch in the final third without eto. I just don’t think ibra looks like he fits in.
Nothing too exciting yet. Hopefully things pick up which I’m sure they will next matchday. Bayern v Juventus should be a good one.
Other than the Arsenal game, first round of Champs League was a big ol snoozefest. zzzzzzzzzzzzz very disappointed.
