MLS Announces 2010 Home Openers


The Philadelphia Union's introduction into MLS will come in the intense atmosphere of Qwest Field as Major League Soccer's newest team will face its second newest in the league's 2010 season opener on March 25th.

MLS announced the home openers for 15 of the league's 16 teams on Thursday, with Philly-Seattle kicking off the season on Thursday, March 25. Toronto FC's home opener has not been determined yet as the club is awaiting the outcome of its proposal to install a grass surface at BMO Field.

The New York Red Bulls will unveil Red Bull Arena on March 27 with a match against the Chicago Fire, while Toronto FC and Columbus renew acquaintances at Crew Stadium that same day.

  1. Philly, if you travel even 200 to Seattle that will be more than any other team has done to this point.

    But you might have to beg the FO for seating in the 300 level if you do bring thousands, because the lower bowl, the Hawks Nest and the Suites will be sold out – as we break our own league record for attendance.
