It is a do-or-die weekend for some of the world's best players, and you will be able to watch most of it on TV.
Okay, so maybe you won't be able to watch most of it on TV, but with some help from your local soccer bar, as well as those reliable internet feeds, you should be able to see the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry as they try to keep their World Cup dreams alive.

The U20 game is heating up Germany just scored
wow, what has happened to Morocco’s football? They are in last in their group, out of the WC again, and getting beaten by Gabon.
Zhirkov looks a bit out of sorts — it is clear to me he has not competitively played in a while. Russia had its moments, but they look a bit tentative coming out of their own half. Bystrov probably had the most success coming out on the left side against Boateng, but crossing had been poor.
Germany is very effective pressuring in the middle. 1 half to go.
Russia has had some promising moments in the match, including the one clear cut chance, but Germany is starting to dominate possession and deserved their goal. Podolski looks excellent in more of a playmaking role…
Zhirkov also looks plenty fit out there, wonder if he ever going to get a game at Chelsea? Pretty expensive cover….
I am watching on tv.indonewyork.net — good feed, too.
germany leads russia 1-0
Haha @ Cabrito, though our antipathy for Germans lasted like 10 years as opposed to the 50 that we had for the Soviet/Russians…
lot of quality in this game. Sorry Dman, gotta a whole slew of things going on so commentary from me will be sporadic at best. Cheers. The feed on atdhe.net is rather good today.
can we get a running commentary?
nice build up from the Germans. I was waiting for this match to get started. Now it’s game on!
I am a USMNT fan, but as far as Russia v. Germany, РоÑÑиÑ, вперед!
It’s obvious to me watching Brazil U20s play over the past few games that the US team couldn’t shine their boots and deserve the early exit
Russia had a golden chance to go up 1:0.
Chase:
Or raised in 1930’s/1940’s Germany?
Actually, I was. Graduated HS in 1981. I like Russians though….just didn’t like Soviets. And heck, I’m German but don’t like Germany. Go figure.
Cheers,
Don’t forger that the first leg of the all Canadian USL-1 final is on tonight too. Vancouver vs. Montreal on FSC at 9:30 EST.

I’m sure all five people watching today will care
People rooting for Russia, I’m assuming you weren’t raised in 1980s America?
@SG….oops. sorry. 🙂
umm i am for Germany over Russia
USA- Honduras will be streaming from somewhere, that’s just the beauty of modern internet. That’s science. Try this site for almost every other match today AND maybe even the US game tonight.

Drogba with the equalizer in the 68th minute gets the draw and Ivory Coast is qualified! Not a big surprise but it’s the first news of the day.
SG, is that Russian in the Cyrillic alphabet? Computers are cool. lol. I assume that translates to Win Russia! If so, I’m with you. Let us not forget that Germany is not a lock yet and WOW would I love a WC without them.
Germany U20’s look solid.

Germany v Russia is the match to watch. but like most of the good matches its not on tv…..blah
Только РуÑÑкие! Только Победа!

“F—— hell. Got robbed at gunpoint in Tegucigalpa in broad daylight. I’m OK, but they took wallet/iPhone. Amateur hour from GW!”
“Talk about crazy extremes. Just got off the phone with the de facto president of Honduras. He apologized for the robbery. Talked soccer too.”
“De facto Honduras President Roberto Micheletti: “Honduras 4, USA 0! … The heart of the Hondurans is bigger than ever!””

Is Wahl effing crazy? Why on earth did he go Tegucigalpa? Dude should of just stayed in San Pedro Sula
Looks like a Leeds player wants to play for the United States. He can play for England or the USA and has already held talks with Bob Bradley.

Viewing Party in LOS ANGELES!

Wear your USA jersey or Red!!
justin.tv had the Honduran feed of Honduras-Costa Rica in August, so one might show up for the USA game.
its better off that the usa game is not on tv. between all the college football action and mlb playoffs, the story will get buried. SO, lets enjoy our saturday and cross our fingers for ATLEAST a draw. then team usa will get more attention midweek vs. costa rica
i’m looking for a feed for the Germany-Russia match. don’t want to get out of bed to go to the bar…
JC, check both of these sites:

what the hell is Grant doing in Tegucigalpa!? doesn’t he know the game is in SPS? LOL, but glad he’s okay!

i don’t see it happening, unless someone from honduras does it, no way one of those close circuit feeds will get streamed, i’m not optimistic that i’ll see a stream
any word on streams for the USA game tomorrow
more players in our pool the better
seems like Leeds is becoming the Fulham of League one for Americans.
Costa Rica v. Trinidad and Tobago will be shown live on GolTV at 10:00 PM ET
nice find, Erik.
doubt he’ll get a serious look before SA2010, but he’s only 22. he could progress nicely.
Why Ireland’s matches never shown live, or even delayed on game day?

Ives, are you going to be running a commentary with the USA-Honduras game while keeping us updated on the Costa Rica-Trinidad and Tobago game as well? That match could be pretty influential if the cards fall correctly.
(SBI-I’m doing a live commentary for ESPN.com and will provide a link to that in a running commentary post on SBI.)
