The 2009 MLS Cup Final is set and two Western Conference teams are set to do battle as the Los Angeles Galaxy takes on Real Salt Lake at Qwest Field in Seattle. While Seattle fans are expected to pack Qwest Field for the event, MLS fans from across the country are expected to make the trip to the Pacific Northwest to take in the event.
Here's our question for you: Will you be making the trip to Seattle for MLS Cup? If so, let us know where you will be traveling from.
SBI will be in Seattle, and we are working with our fellow Designated Player websites to coordinate a gathering in Seattle on Friday night to stay stuned for more information on that.
For now, let us know if you will be making the trip to Seattle for the 2009 MLS Cup.
Galaxy fan going to school in the Bay Area. Went down for Leg 1 of the Chivas series and teh conference final and wont stop there. I’m flying in to Seattle from Oakland Saturday morning and coming back early monday. LA LA LA lets go!!
Are you saying this because Columbus and Chicago both bunkered down against RSL and in the one playoff game where the opposing team did not put 10 behind the ball that team lost 3-2, by far the most goals in the playoffs this year?
If you are going to comment, then maybe you should watch the games. Just a thought.
advocat is an idiot.
To watch another MLS 0-0 borefest? 120 minutes , zero goals? Real is going to play very physical. And no sign the Commisioner will stop it.

Yes, you have uncovered the secret anti-Houston conspiracy widely held in the league. The inarguable proof is that they have won MLS Cup two times.
Next time, be sure to pull that tinfoil hat down a little tighter. After all, you never know when the black helicopters might come next.
Leaving Salt Lake City Friday night, and staying the night in Boise. Driving from Boise to Seattle on Saturday. Watch RSL win the cup on Sunday, then drive to Boise Sunday Night. Drive to Salt Lake Monday morning.
We’ll be there Friday through Monday, can’t wait!
Go RSL!!
yawn….
Ha ha ha! That’s so funny!
Hey, next time the Galaxy play the Red Bulls you should call them Magic Hats FC … I mean, there are a bunch of Jews in the city the Red Bulls are from, right? Wouldn’t that be funny?
how are your buddies from arizona getting to seattle?
There are a ton of events that have been planned by the supporters groups in Seattle, the Alliance Council and the league.

I don’t get it…
Amy, I’m looking for recommendations for touristy things to do or a nice restaurant or two to take my gf to in the downtown area. Any suggestions?
My gf and I are flying from NY Thursday night and back Monday. I went to LA last year (it really hurts to be a Bulls fan sometimes) and love how excited she is to go!
I live in the Puget Sound area so I’ll definitely be at the match. I plan to be RSL supporter for one day only.
lol, get over it. There was a foul in the box.
Coming from Portland via train Sunday morning. Will be at George and Dragon after the game. Will someone be bringing the SBI mafia banner? Looking for some festivities before the game as well…I’ll arrive around noon.

Go Quakes…..2010
Wow.

RSL fan living in LA coming up on Saturday morning, go RSL!
Cancelled my trip when Houston drew La Galaxy in 2nd round. I knew then that MLS would not have Galaxy lose, and one disallowed goal later my point was made. Thank you MLS for making me right. Enjoy your cup LA.
I’m going to watch LA beat Magic Underwear FC. Fly in Sunday morning, leave early monday.
Coming from Atlanta (thru Dallas). Arriving Friday, leaving early Monday.
My roommate won a contest so it’s all free.
They’re thinking about laying your mom on the field instead.
Pig!
Sorry, there’s no poutine in Seattle
Still trying to work out arrangement, but I hope to be travelling from SLC area to Seattle for the match.
Glad to see you’re going to be there, Ives. One more trip out to the west and you might decide to permanently move there (but check out Portland before you decide exactly where) ;-).
Flying in from Calgary, Canada on Saturday. First MLS Cup for me! Question for Seattleites: Can somebody tell me the best places for pre-match food? Thanks
“While Seattle fans are expected [to] pack Qwest Field”
Flying to Seattle from BWI (since they won’t fly out of Annapolis)
I’ve only missed one MLS Cup match (thanks for that, Southwest) and it’s a chance to take a couple of days off to relax.
I live here, so no travel needed, but definitely attending.

Coming in from San Jose, CA in Galaxy gear. Can’t wait to see Landon and Beckham in an MLS Cup.
Prairie and I are going, thanks to MLS Extra Time’s contest. So I’m excited to go and I’ll see you there, Ives. Keep us posted on the gathering.
Haha I remember I made the hour drive up to watch Columbus and New York in last years final in LA,the Galaxy supporters group were there of course….cheering for the Galaxy
Optimist Primer is flying in all the way from London to see my first MLS Cup! Meeting 3 friends from Arizona. Any SBI Mafia gatherings on Saturday? Sunday pre-game?
Every once and awhile the home fans fail to show-up for the Cup b/c their home team doesn’t make it. I never understood this as most of these fans would show up to a neutral exhibition or an international fixture. If the Cup is anywhere near my jurisdiction, I’m going!
So Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Northern Cali, etc…go witness North American soccer history.
anybody know if the field will be grass or turf?
Driving from SLC to Seattle leaving Friday coming home Monday.
Flight back from Seattle to BWI:
Depart 11:40am
Arrive 11:50pm
ouch
Just spent my money on flying to London to watch Fulham beat up on Hull City.
Flying from LA Saturday Morning. Know about 50+ people that are doing the same.
Wish I could, but I got 1 wife, 2 kids, and 3 dogs.
I’ll be having an RSL-MLS CUP open house with the MLS CUP on 3-4 TVs.
Friends and family only, sorry everyone.
Mo’ money, mo’ problems? No money, mo’ problems.
Can’t afford the 3000 mile plane ticket, plus one night in a hotel, plus game ticket, plus bar tab. I’ll have it in HD with a 6 pack on my couch.
Absolutely, RSL suppoters here in SLC for five years since inception. Three of us flying up on Saturday from SLC, and my daughter is flying in from Ohio to meet us and watch the game. RSL all the way! We need the support of the Sounders fans.
Flying from Salt Lake to Seattle Sunday morning, then back Monday morning.
