  1. Torres with an early yellow card and subbed off at half time as Pachuca ties Castillo’s (full 90) Tigres, Pachuca is out of the playoffs and both Castillo and Torres’ seasons are over

  2. Wow. Egypt just got their two-goal margin with a header in the 95th minute. The Egyptian announcers freaked out. The fans are going crazy in Cairo. Algeria’s writhing and time-wasting led to six extra minutes, and Egypt made them pay. Playoff between the two teams on Wednesday at neutral site.

  3. yea you’re right but they are there by default. I was watching South Africa vs Japan this morning and they looked better than they did in Confederation Cup but they were still not impressive.

  4. Cameroon on thier way to qualifying. 2-0 up with few minutes to go. Nigeria qualified too.

Thats South Africa, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Egypt/Algeria representing Africa. Looks pretty strong.

  6. Russia 1 Slovenia 0. Finally a goal in a very exciting game so far. Russia takes the lead thru Bilyaletdinov in the 40th minute with a beautiful pirouette move in the box and a nice finish.
