FIFA has put an end to any talk of Ireland potentially being included as a World Cup team, stating on Tuesday that it would be impossible to include Ireland as a 33rd participant.
Ireland made the request to be added due to the controversial way the Irish were beaten by France in their UEFA World Cup playoff.
