Kenny Cooper's quest to help Plymouth Argyle avoid relegation has begun, and Cooper's next match could prove pivotal in achieving that goal.

Cooper will look to build on his 32-minute Plymouth debut when the club takes on fellow relegation-threatened Reading on Tuesday. Sitting five points below the Royals, 23rd-place Plymouth and Cooper could use a win, as they start a three-games-in-eight-day stretch against one of the weaker teams in the Championship.

Cooper is just one of several Americans Abroad in action on Tuesday. Here is a look at Tuesday's matches:

Stuart Holden and Bolton Wanderers play Manchester City. (Holden is not in the 18)

Clint Dempsey and Fulham play Burnley. (Dempsey is out injured.)

Jay DeMerit and Watford play Bristol City.

Frank Simek and Sheffield Wednesday play Blackpool.

Kenny Cooper and Plymouth Argyle play Reading.

Mike Grella and Leeds United play Carlisle United in the second leg of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Carlos Bocanegra and Stade Rennes play US Quevilly in the round of 16 in the Coupe de France.

Charlie Davies and Sochaux play Beauvais in the round of 16 in the Coupe de France. (Davies is out injured.)

What do you think of today's matches? Do you see Cooper playing a significant role in Plymouth's match? Hopinh that Bocanegra continues his string of starts for Rennes?

  1. …I will be at the game in Tampa in a few weeks and am looking forward to seeing some guys change my opinion of them..we shall see.

  2. Oh yea. It’s like pick your poison with those two. I honestly would rather have a look at some of these guys in the lower English divisions and see what they can do. Pittman and Grella are not ready but do you build on Cooper and Casey? I think not.
