Fresh off the heels of a 1-0 loss to Florida International University on Sunday, Dallas was ready to bounce back in the next preseason friendly.

They managed just that in a Tuesday win over the New England Revolution, scoring twice and keeping a cleansheet in Orlando, Florida. Atiba Harris opened the scoring, and last year's late acquisition Marvin Chavez added the game's second goal.

Dallas will next take part in the Walt Disney Pro Soccer Classic that is scheduled to launch on Thursday, opening play against Toronto FC. Thursday's other match features New York against Houston.

Here's a look at what's going on in camps around the league:

SEATTLE SHOOTS FOR FIFTH IN LA MANGA CUP

Seattle got their first win in Spain over the weekend, winning 2-0 against Stabaek IF. Seattle put in a much cleaner performance, and goals from Fredy Montero and Roger Levesque made up the difference. Thursday will be their last match in Spain, as the Sounders go up against SK Brann with the winner placing fifth in the competition.

WIZARDS CUT TWO, OFFICIALLY SEVER TIES WITH CLAUDIO LOPEZ

As the preseason preparations continue for Kansas City in Arizona, the roster moves keep coming. Little-used fringe players Kurt Morsink and Kevin Souter were both cut by the team this week. Even bigger news emerged today, as the club announced that Claudio Lopez won't return to the Wizards in 2010. The Argentinian had been out of contract heading into this season and rumored to be on his way out — the team confirmed that negotiations were unsuccessful, and Lopez will leave Kansas City.

D.C. UNITED'S 'KEEPERS COMPETE FOR NUMBER TWO SPOT

With number one netminder Troy Perkins in camp with the U.S. national team in Tampa Bay, the competition in Bradenton heats up for the back up goalie spot. United's two primary goalies last season aren't in the picture at the moment, as the team cut Milos Kocic last week and Josh Wicks remains on the sidelines with a shoulder injury. Academy product Bill Hamid finds himself up against trialists Andrew Quinn and former FC Dallas 'keeper Ray Burse.

What do you make of the preseason results? Will Lopez stay in the league? Will Bill Hamid enter 2010 as D.C. United's back up?

  2. It’s true that the west cost is the home of MLS soccer in the US but when it comes to top players NJ and NY hold their own.

I’m hoping the red bulls start selling out now that they have a real stadium with legitimate public transportation access. The meadowlands was just a misserable place to watch soccer.

  3. Kind of cool, it reminds me the grunge rock days with Seattle as the center of the universe.

Hopefully the MLS craze will last longer.

  4. Considering I might not get to see MLS in season, I suppose I ought to scream for Seattle in their (perhaps) last game this year. Go kick some arse!

  5. Individual game tickets for the Sounders go on sale Monday.

There are about 4,000 seat available per game….IF they “sell out” the season quickly, they will under pressure to open more seats.

Amazing how MLS can be doing so great in some areas and so terrible in other….and I don’t just mean geography ( CBA, losing players to Europe and of course lack of fans )

  6. NYRB will win a weighted allocation draw for Claudio Lopez, who they will then swap to Boca Jrs for an unnamed mid-fielder with pony tail.
