The Philadelphia Union's first organized match got the expansion club off to a flying start as three different players scored in a 5-0 exhibition romp over the University of North Carolina in Greensboro on Saturday night.

Sebastien LeToux scored a first-half hat-trick while Shea Salinas and Jack McInerney added second-half strikes to give Union head coach Peter Nowak his first victory as Philly head coach.

Acquired from the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Expansion draft, LeToux converted a penalty drawn by Alejandro Moreno and converted passes from Amobi Okugo and Fred for his three goals.

Brad Knighton and Chris Seitz each played a half to combine for the shutout.

CREW TOP D.C. UNITED

An early Devon McTavish own goal was the only scoring in a Columbus Crew exhibition victory against D.C. Unitedin Bradenton, Florida.

Columbus gave newly-acquired Colombian forward Sergio Herrera his debut, but it was McTavish who put Columbus on the board in the eighth minute.

SAN JOSE DOWNS WIZARDS

A header from newly-acquired Brazilian forward Eduardo provided the difference as the San Jose Earthquakes downed the Kansas City Wizards, 1-0, in exhibition action in Arizona.

FC DALLAS ROUTS TULSA

David Ferreira and Atiba Harris scored two goals apiece while Brek Shea added three assists as FC Dallas rolled to a 7-1 exhibition thrashing of the University of Tulsa on Saturday at Pizza Hut Park.

Playing without forward Jeff Cunningham, who is with the U.S. national team, FC Dallas had little trouble finding the net as several projected starters saw minutes in the mis-match.

CHIVAS USA WINS MEXICAN TOUR OPENER

Cuban striker Maykel Galindo scored a pair of goals to help Chivas USA post a 3-1 victory against Mexican second-division side Irapuato in exhibition action in Guanajuato, Mexico on Saturday night.

HOUSTON DYNAMO TROUNCES SMU

Playing without U.S. national team camp participants Brian Ching, Brad Davis and Geoff Cameron didn't stop the Houston Dynamo from cruising to a 4-0 exhibition victory over Southern Methodist University on Saturday in Houston.

Forward Cam Weaver scored a pair of first-half goals while Dominic Oduro provided two second-half goals for the Dynamo.

GALAXY TOPS UCLA

LA Galaxy rookie midfielder Michael Stephens spent four years playing at UCLA, but that didn't stop him from scoring two goals against his alma mater in the Galaxy's 4-0 win against UCLA on Friday.
