David Beckham is set to miss the World Cup after tearing his achilles tendon in AC Milan's 1-0 win over Chievo Verona on Sunday.
Beckham picked up the injury in the waning moments of the match without coming into contact with anyone and limped off to the sidelines for treatment. Beckham is expected to miss up to nine months, ruling him out of this summer's World Cup and most, if not all, of the MLS season. (Update- Milan's physio expects Beckham to be sidelined five to eight months.)
What do you think of this development? Disappointed Beckham won't play in one final World Cup? Are you a concerned Galaxy fan?
