Soccer Saturday: Your Running Commentary

On a light day of action in the English Premier League, it is Serie A where the real marquee match-ups will be played.

Fiorentina faces off against Juventus while Roma takes on AC Milan in Saturday's top matches. If the English game is still more your cup of tea, Marcus Hahnemann will look to try and upset Manchester United when the champions visit Wolverhampton.

The day's best match may actually be taking place in Spain, where Real Madrid faces Sevilla in what should be an entertaining attack-filled match.

If you will be watching today's action, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

  1. At least Nicklas Bendtner’s performance can make Donovan feel better about missing a wide open shot last week. Bendtenr missed at least 3 wide open shots inside the 6 yard box.

  2. If you’re playing in France you would be expected to speak at least a little French. Just another challenge of playing abroad.

  3. Boca’s great at scoring. It’s his defense that is sometimes suspect. I often wonder if he wouldn’t be better as a target striker. While I think the USA ha better defenders. I think Boca has to play because no one else on the USMNT scores regularly.

  4. Ok, I’m not sure what perfect world you live in where little bradley plays perfect every single game.

Since he is our “best central midfielder,” he has never had a bad game in his life. Of course that makes perfect sense.

But when players like Fabregas, Ronaldihno, David Beckham are taken off, it is because they are not skilled enough to play all the time.

  5. Hahnemann got lucky there. Another defensive breakdown by Wolves back line; its going to be hell for him with two more strikers on.

  6. Well it would needed to have been a miraculous save by Hahnemann, but he wasn’t up to it. Not a bad game. Hopefully Wolves can pull a tie out of it.

  7. 360 Announcer relating what the Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp said after his team lost to Schalke,

“said his team had no balls. I don’t think he was talking about the round leather kind.”

    Gotta love coaches and announcers.

  8. So foxsoccertv.com took off the Fulham/Tottenham game at the last minute. Their support can’t tell me why. Why did I buy this pos again? Same BS from Fox as usual.

  9. I asked that earlier and SBI replied that it would most likely be a plate to help it heal more quickly. Let’s hope that’s what happens and he’s back on the pitch ASAP

  10. Nicely done, Adrian. Hollow bashing is out of place on these boards, especially this early in the morning. Not to mention that ‘sarahsilky’ forgot to include a ‘?’ , thus making the sentence incomplete, as well. Carry on.

  14. Do you think it’s cool to post something like that? Does it make you feel better inside?

I would take a long look at yourself before you post something like that again.
