  1. yeah i saw that bbc article and thought the same thing and they changed what he said. the quote was “We were good in the first half and but we came out in the second half and it’s like we left our game plan in the changing room.”

so he didn’t say they had no plan he’s saying the players came out and didn’t execute it. but it’s on the video http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/8549507.stm And before he says that he points out his teams utter inability to close anyone down. hell they do that against arsenal and they’ll screw around ship 7 goals. Regardless, i’m not a brown fan but i think that english journalism got us again cause i don’t think that quote is accurate.

as for the change from the 4-4-2. looks like the only game they played 4-5-1 recently was Everton. Villa was postponed. And the 4 prior matches they are playing with two strikers. Jozy’s not always one of em and they also lost with jozy and jvh playing together 3 – 0 at West Ham. I think that’s a big thing as to why they change was made.

As a side note. I thought it was interesting that two of the best effort’s i’ve ever seen Jozy give followed trageties. The Costa Rica Game after the Davies injury and the City game after the Haiti quake. In both he threw himself all over the place. Fought for every ball. Many other games i’ve seen him sort of laboring. NOT lazy mind you. just sort of thinking too hard. Regardless it’s interesting you can get a guy like tevez or rooney or Kuyt that seem to play with that sort of effort every game. Just because. You surely don’t want to see more tragedies.

  2. Ives my question is how do all these young players from brazil, argentina, south america, africa end up playing in europe. isn’t their strict uefa union or league rules on players moving over there. don’t they need so many caps or some sort of european blood. How exactly do they end up over there? do they just become a citizen of the country? A few weeks ago on fox football fone in they said if you are american and don’t have euro blood as holden does you can just forget about playing in a top league over in europe.

  3. I would like to know which cable systems/satellite operators have Fox Soccer Plus.

Because just from this thread, it appears that neither AT&T Universe, Time Warner Cable and Verizon Fios (I can vouch for that) does not have it.

    WTF?

  5. i completely see your point and would have agreed with it had the switch been made earlier in the season when jozy was having a bit of a rough time with it. champions of england pretty much summed up my argument, well done. they had just come off getting some good results with the 4-4-2 with jozy and V of H and all of a sudden he switches and they go down the tubes, perplexing. also i read an article on BBC sport that quoted phil brown as saying the team “lacked a game plan for the 2nd half,” if you’re a manager in the relegation zone in danger of losing his job would you ever want to say your team “lacked a game plan”?

  6. However when Jozy and V of H were starting up top Hull were actually getting points. Phil Brown wont go with anything other than a 4-5-1 away from home, which is completely frustrating because Hull just arent good enough to succeed with this formation.

Since this weekends game is at the KC Stadium I bet we will see a 4-4-2, with Jozy starting.

  7. Jozy has one goal in the Prem in 21 games. So i think he’s looking for someone that can score. And though Zaki hasn’t for Hull, at Wigan by contrast he had 22 starts and 10 goals in the Prem. I think there’s only 10 games left and Jozy just hasn’t hit the net enough and i think Phil is grasping at anything that may work. They are trying to fight off relegation so i don’t think he can afford to just hope Jozy score. People can talk about other things but he was brought to score and it’s what that team lacks.

  8. Whoa! That is such Crap!! Anybody else notice that both The Chelsea Game and The Manchester United Game Are Both on FSC+, The top two games that most of us would want to watch.
Is this the way it is to be?? Problem is I have Time Warner, and while they announced ‘Certain Locations would have FSC+’ I must must not be in one of those Locations!!
