Bayern Munich vs. Lyon: Who will win?

LyonBordeaux (Reuters)

The first spot in the UEFA Champions League final will be determined today in France, where Lyon will play host to Bayern Munich in the second leg of their semifinal series (2:45pm, FSE/FSN/MSG/DirecTV).

Bayern Munich won the first leg in Germany, 1-0, but must now avoid a defeat of two goals or more against a surging Lyon squad that will be riding in with some confidence.

Bayern Munich will be without star Franck Ribery, who is out after picking up a red card in the first leg.

Here is our question for you. Who do you see winning the series? Can Lyon erase the first-leg deficit, or will Bayern Munich hold on?

Who do I like today? Lyon has been very dangerous, but Bayern will find an away goal to put the series out of reach.

Who did you vote for?

  1. Bayern should go through but I have a feeling Lyon may sneak through. They play a type of underdog style soccer where anything can happen.

  2. They have not lost a home match in Champion’s league this season and I don’t expect them to lose this evening. OL are tough at Stade de Gerland and both Lisandro, Govou and Gomis (le panther) are over due to shine. Bayern will miss Ribery alot more than OL will miss Toulalan. Lloris is the best goalkeeper on the planet right now. Lyonnais will win by a score of 3-0.
