  1. Liverpool were hosed as usual. What is with Portuguese teams either cheating or getting referees to cheat for them?

    Think Porto Celtic years ago…

  2. It really was. He looked class. A lot of the passes were daring balls not many players would play. I love the creativity he’s been showing lately. While he’s producing on the wing, I really think he’s more of a forward or even attacking mid. I wouldnt mind seeing this from our national team:

    —howard—
    cherundolo—onyewu/boca & demerit—spector
    holden/beasley—bradley—dempsey—donovan

  3. Brede hasn’t been on his best form the past couple months, he was fantastic in 09 but ever since he was injured hes had trouble

  4. sorry won’t happen, Dempsey wants to stay at Fulham and there’s no point in him moving to a bigger club

  5. Objectively, have to say advantage Wolfsburg for the 2nd leg. Fulham are almost certainly going to need to score now. They’ve come up big a few tiems already this year though, so i hope they’ve got another great performance in them.

  6. Yeah a clean sheet at home is really important. cuz then if they just scor one at Wolfsburg that would be a nail in the coffin.

  7. Zamora is Fulham’s Player of the Year. T&T need to call him ASAP. His form as of now might actually win them the Gold Cup and get them to the next WC.

  8. Fulham really looking like they want to go for the kill here, though in reality keeping a clean sheet should be there priority now. 2-0 at home is an excellent result if they can pull it off. 2-1 or even 3-1, less so.

  9. come on Duece, you know you want to get in on the action. But honestly, I just don’t want Fulham to give up an away goal. 2-0 would be fine by me.

  10. In fairness, it took a slight deflection off the defender who was streaking across the box. The defender both shielded the ball from view for the keeper, and pushed it well wide of his possible range to save it. Still, nice work by Zamora.

  11. Man, Babel is a stupid, worthless soccer player. I’m thankful he got himself off because once again he’s done absolutely nothing except lose the ball in one-on-one situations on the left. What a pathetic professional.

  12. Very ho hum first half in the Fulham vs Wolfsburg match, hopefully the second half will be more entertaining. Wolfsburg is playing very defensive, Fulham needs to push forward and attack or else they’ll be heading to Germany tied at 0’s

  13. From Eurosport:

A ball aimed at Zamora takes a flick off the Wolfsburg defender battling him for the ball, Duff runs on to the ball and dribbles towards the centre of the area, tries to make space for a shot but prods the ball to Dempsey when he is closed out… Dempsey has time and space but drags his shot wide of the left hand post! That’s the best chance of the half!

  14. Babel direct red for arguing with Luisao after Luisao fouled Torres hard…

Seems a little harsh but Babel is dumb for putting his hand on Luisao’s face…

  15. Excluding goalkeepers of course. Donovan, McBride. Dempsey could eclipse both. He is bound for greater things. Scored at the WC, Scored to keep his team from being relegation, Consistent goal-scorer at a small club, Scored a brillant Europa League goal.

If he does well at this WC and scores a goal or 2, expect him to get a transfer to a AV or Tottenham.

  16. Liverpool for the win. Agger has them up by 1 and it’s away so that’s great. I’m hoping for a Torres hat trick.

also gooo Dempsey 😀 Score for Fulham
