The Harris County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to approve a deal for the Houston Dynamo's new stadium project, clearing the final hurdle for the project before it takes the next step of beginning construction ahead of a 2012 opening.
The county and city of Houston have agreed to spend $10 million each in infrastucture for the project, along with $7.5 million each for the purchase of the land for the stadium, which will be built just East of downtown Houston. The Dynamo will spend $60 million on the stadium.

EARTHQUAKES SIGN SEALY
The San Jose Earthquakes have added a familiar face to the field, signing forward Scott Sealy on Tuesday.
The Trinidad & Tobago international played for the Earthquakes in 2008 before leaving as a free agent. He spent the past two years playing in Israel, first with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and most recently with Bnei Sakhnin.
Sealy scored 31 goals and added eight assists over the course of four seasons with Kansas City and San Jose.
SURGEON SAYS TORRES CAN RETURN SOON
Liverpool striker Fernando Torres had been sidelined with a knee injury that was threatening to end his club season and jeopardize his 2010 World Cup, but the surgeon who checked out the ailing knee saidhe could be back in a week.
