D.C. United kicks off another home campaign by welcoming the New England Revolution to the nation's capital (7:30 p.m., MLS Direct Kick).

Both teams are coming off unimpressive season openers, with United falling 4-0 at Kansas City and New England dropping a 1-0 result to the Los Angeles Galaxy at the Home Depot Center.

I will be providing commentary live from RFK Stadium for tonight's match, so please feel free to follow along and share any of your thoughts or opinions in the comments section below.

POSTGAME – New England improves to 1-0-1 and must be thrilled with stealing three points with Shalrie Joseph on the sideline. D.C. United falls to 0-0-2, and while they controlled the run of play for much of the match, they really lacked the creativity to finish in the attacking third. Preston Burpo made two key saves to keep the clean sheet, and those plus Mansally's goals were the difference.

POSTGAME – Kenny Mansally, who entered the game in the 68th minute for Zack Schilawski, is the man of the match, with two stunning goals in a span of two minutes.

90th Minute – There's the final whistle. New England Revolution 2, D.C. United 0. Two games into the season, United are still seeking their first goal.

90th Minute – Seconds remain, as Burpo beats Pontius to a long ball. Considering the circumstances, this is a GREAT win for the Revolution.

90th Minute – Corner cleared away and Dube takes it into the D.C. half. Foul on United, Revolution free kick from just inside midfield.

90th Minute – Rodney Wallace shot deflected over the crossbar for a corner. Nice idea by Wallace. Darrius Barnes makes his season debut coming on for Kevin Alston.

90th Minute – 3 minutes stoppage time. Still time if D.C. can magically tuck one home.

90th Minute – Quaranta, streaking down the left, gets taken down at the edge of the box, but there's nothing in it. Not a penalty by any stretch.

89th Minute – United look deflated, understandably so. Back to the drawing board again.

87th Minute – Replays show Mansally deked out Wallace, the second defender coming to double-team, to create a bit more space for his chip. Think he'll be considered for the starting XI next week?

86th Minute – Yellow card comes out for Juan Manuel Pena, first booking of the night. He undercut Joseph Niouky, but the midfielder is running it off.

84th Minute – There was really nothing Perkins could've done about either goal. Pena possibly should have gotten to Tierney's cross on the first goal, and the second goal was just a gorgeous chip. Revolution controlling possession in the D.C. end, looking to kill of what's left of the clock.

83rd Minute – New England's offense comes out of nowhere to seemingly steal three points from D.C. United. This is not going to go over well in the nation's capital after the 4-0 Kansas City debacle.

82nd Minute – GOAL NEW ENGLAND!! It's Kenny Mansally again! He chips it Dempsey-esque (not AS nice or important) from the edge of the penalty area to the upper 90. 2-0 New England! WOW!

80th Minute – GOAL NEW ENGLAND!!! And its Kenny Mansally putting home a deflected cross from Chris Tierney!

76th Minute – SAVE BURPO!! Wallace with a great steal and run up the left side, finding Quaranta in the box. His shot goes right into Burpo's midsection. Better from D.C.

75th Minute – Julius James coming on for Carey Talley as the final D.C. substitution. Talley had a quiet night, at no fault of his own.

74th Minute – Hey we have a shot on goal for New England! It's Pat Phelan from distance, forcing Perkins to dive to his right to make the save.

73rd Minute – Gibbs with a nice steal while defending Quaranta on the right. Nobody individually is standing out for the Revolution defense, but Gibbs, wearing the captain's armband, is part of the effort.

72nd Minute – Pontius slips Najar down the right side, and the youngster does well going at Sinovic, but his shot hits the side netting. You can feel the excitement in the crowd when Najar gets involved.

71st Minute – Mansally unleashes a shot from great distance. Maybe 30 yards. But it's fired well right of the target.

70th Minute – Andy Najar now on for Barklage. Academy product gets a nice hand. Curt Onalfo's hoping his speed can make things happen on the right. Barklage played pretty well tonight, but speed is not his biggest asset.

69th Minute – Tough to judge Schilawski tonight, considering there was little to no service his way, but the Revolution are expecting big things from the Wake Forest rookie.

68th Minute – Two New England substitutions. Kenny Mansally on for Zack Schilawski, and Zak Boggs on for Sainey Nyassi. Steve Nicol is looking for a new offensive formula.

67th Minute – Quaranta's corner bends into a crowd. Looked like Barklage got the last touch, but wasn't anywhere near the post.

66th Minute – Khumalo shows some great pace on the left side, earning a corner.

65th Minute – Another Pontius header over the bar, though he was marked closely. Been a while since a series of Revolution touches.

63rd Minute – Nice run up for DCU ends in Khumalo mishitting a clear shot right into Burpo's waiting hands. Barklage-Moreno-Quaranta on the set-up.

62nd Minute – Boyzzz Khumalo coming on for Cristian Castillo. Nice hand for Castillo, though he failed to really create on the left side tonight.

61st Minute – Barklage heads the corner just wide! Missed the post by inches, but he had Burpo beaten. Nice set piece for DCU.

60th Minute – Corner kick D.C. The crowd is starting to get behind their United.

59th Minute – Phelan whistled for a late touch on Moreno's ankle. Baldomero Toledo is our referee tonight.

57th Minute – Nope. Perkins whiffs on the catch, but nobody's there to cash in.

56th Minute – Sinovic cross headed out by Pena for a Revolution corner. Maybe a set piece is what we need to see some goals.

54th Minute – Talley unleashes a bending cross with just a bit too much on it for Pontius by the far post. D.C. controlling possession again, but no real threats this half.

51st Minute – 20,664 announced attendance. Well done, Washington. Now imagine how that'd look in a soccer specific stadium that didn't have a rusty old empty upper deck.

49th Minute – Pontius offside in the penalty area. Moreno, Quaranta, Castillo and Pontius make for a dangerous attacking combination, but have yet to put it all together this season.

47th Minute – Dube header inside the 18 over and out.

47th Minute – Niouky looks for Schilawski down the right side, but Pena clears out of bounds. Revolution throw in.

46th Minute – And we're back. D.C. moving left to right wearing the home blacks, Revolution moving right to left in the road whites…if you need the visual.

HALFTIME – Again, apologies for missing the first 14 minutes or so. An Internet outage at RFK had everyone partying like it was 1992 again. We should be able to coast through the second half uninterrupted.

The most exciting thing you missed? Cristian Castillo's introduction. The Salvadorian community is out in force tonight. Great United crowd. If only they could find a new stadium site.

HALFTIME – Butler 52, Michigan State 50. If Butler can play for the national championship, why can't the USA make a World Cup final?

HALFTIME – Who looked good? Ugh, tough to say. Brandon Barklage provided some nice service from the right, and Pontius looks threatening up top. You'd think that if D.C. continues to get the opportunities that they were getting that they'll put at least one home. Pena looks like a stable force with Jakovic in the back.

As for New England, Joseph Niouky stood out the most, with Sainey Nyassi making a couple of nice runs on the right. The defense did well to not break, and Preston Burpo came up huge on that early free kick.

HALFTIME – Nil-nil is was not unexpected entering the match, considering how each team struggled in their respective openers. D.C. definitely had the better half, though New England did manage a couple of sneaky opportunities. With Shalrie Joseph out, among others, there's only so much that can be expected from the Revolution in a hostile environment.

45th Minute – Quaranta with a long free kick from about midfield is headed over the back line, and there's the halftime whistle. D.C. United 0, New England Revolution 0.

45th Minute – 1 minute of stoppage time. Sounds about right.

43rd Minute – Pontius header just over the bar!! Best chance of the night, point blank. Barklage with the cross from the right flank.

41st Minute – Phelan shot from the edge of the penalty area just misses the crossbar. Dare I say the Revolution have strung together some consistent offense?

40th Minute – Nyassi with a dangerous cross from the right, but Jakovic is there to clear it to the sideline.

38th Minute – Quaranta had the cross to set that previous play up. He looks more comfortable on the right side than in the central role he's supposed to be taking on this season.

37th Minute – Pontius touch in front gets deflected out for a corner. Dangerous chance….Except the ensuing corner sails over everybody and out of bounds.

36th Minute – Niouky with a hard, clean tackle on Castillo. Senegalese midfielder looks aggressive.

34th Minute – D.C. defense does well to thwart what appeared to be a Revolution threat. Pena looks comfortable in the back line so far.

33rd Minute – Pontius hands the ball in the box while receiving a cross. Revs follow up with a long pass and a turnover. Ugly stuff.

31st Minute – Dube a push to Morsink's back, and D.C. restarts. The ball is finding its way into the Revolution's end any way possible.

30th Minute – Nyassi cross easily caught by Perkins. Not a whole lot of action for Perkins thus far in his return to RFK.

30th Minute – Morsink looks for Barklage down the right flank, but Sinovic does well to defend.

28th Minute – After a hot start, United now struggling to find any offensive rhythm. The way these two teams played on opening night, it's no surprise to see a lack of firepower.

27th Minute – Foul on Wallace, free kick Revolution from just inside midfield.

26th Minute – Burpo's goal kick sails out of bounds. The Revolution are not doing much to maintain possession.

23rd Minute – Pontius' header dribbles down harmlessly to Burpo. Second-year forward is playing well tonight though.

21st Minute – Niouky just misses the far post on a shot from distance. Best chance for New England so far.

19th Minute– No Shalrie Joseph or Darrius Barnes for the Revs tonight. If they manage to escape RFK with a point then Steve Nicol deserves a ton of credit.

18th Minute– Apologies for the late start to the commentary. Some internet issues at RFK held things up. GET A NEW STADIUM ALREADY.

17th Minute– D.C. is dominating play early. The Revs have dodged some early bullets, but need to start earning some possession or it won't be long before D.C. starts finding goals.

14th Minute– Preston Burpo with a clutch kick save on a Santino Quaranta free kick. Soft call to earn that free kick. Moreno got away with a dive.

PRE-GAME – Less than full crowd in the lower bowl right now, though the Barra Brava is waving their flags and making some early noise. Almost anthem time. First kick is approaching.

PRE-GAME – Beautiful night in the nation's capital, though the clouds have started to make their move. No rain expected tonight.

Pitch looks OK. Still some football yard lines and numbers from the EagleBank Bowl back in December.

PRE-GAME – Darrius Barnes is active and included in Steve Nicol's subs tonight but is not starting. Considering he played every minute last season, he's clearly not 100 percent. Also on the bench for the Revs: Khano Smith, Kenny Mansally, Zak Boggs, Michael Videira and backup keeper Bobby Shuttleworth.

D.C.'s subs are Andy Najar, Adam Cristman, Danny Allsopp, Julius James, Devon McTavish, Boyzzz Khumalo and backup keeper Andrew Quinn. Bill Hamid is inactive tonight with a shoulder injury.

PRE-GAME – Curt Onalfo has made a couple of changes in his starting XI, moving Academy product Andy Najar to the bench in favor of Brandon Barklage and slotting newly signed Bolivian centerback Juan Manuel Pena next to Dejan Jakovic. Carey Talley is also starting at right back instead of Clyde Simms, who injured his hamstring starting there last week.

PRE-GAME – Shalrie Joseph (hip flexor) is out again for the Revolution. New England's midfield struggled mightily without him against the Galaxy. Santino Quaranta and Christian Castillo have to like their chances tonight.
