SBI Live Q&A (April 21st)

Good afternoon everybody. It's that time again. Time for you to send your soccer(and pop culture) related questions to me and time for me to answer as many of them as possible.

Have questions about the U.S. national team? Wondering about the new MLS season? Trying to decide between TV shows? Shoot your questions my way and I'll try to offer some insight.

Let's get started (Live Q&A is after the jump):

  1. Better rapper than Jay-Z and lilwayne? lyrically or with regards to generating revenue?

I can name 5 rappers lyrically better than those two marketing schemes.

    Royce da 5-9…EM….Drake…pusha T(clipse)-Luda

  2. Nineteen former UCLA players graced Major League Soccer (MLS) opening day rosters in 2010, the most from any university in the nation. UCLA continues to lead all schools with a total of 55 all-time MLS players (from UCLA soccer site). In the “what have you done for me lately?” category, Stephens and Okugo come to mind and let’s throw in Feilhaber who never played in MLS. UCLA may be second to Wake overall among college soccer powers, and Akron has been very good in the last 3-4 years, but at worst UCLA is #3, ahead of UVA, UMD and others, IMO

  3. I’ve never thought of that but there very well could be a starting incentive in Jozy’s loan deal that pays him X amount. That is the only reasonable explanation. Very good point

  4. I wonder if there are any triggers in contract like a certain number of games started equals more money to Villareal. Seems he has a stretch of really good games and then ends up on the bench for awhile. Same happened with Brown as well.

  5. Andy Najar is looking good except for that incredibly stupid pass he attempted, trying to keep the ball from going over the end line and sent the ball back into the 6. If he never does that again, it’ll be too soon.
