Edson Buddle and Juninho teamed up on the Los Angeles Galaxy's game-winning goal last Saturday and they're teaming up on this week's SBI MLS Best XI.

Buddle's two goals made him the easiest pick for this week's team, while Juninho made the squad after his best performance since joining the Galaxy.

Among the players to make the squad for the first time was Joe Cannon, who edged out Bouna Coundoul after his stellar effort in shutting out New England in San Jose's 2-0 win. He is joined by Ike Opara, who just might become a regular on the Best XI.

Here is this week's MLS Best XI for Week Four:

HONORABLE MENTION– Bouna Coundoul, Mike Chabala, Wilman Conde, Marvell Wynne, Omar Gonzalez, Patrick Nyarko, Roger Torres, Joey Gjertsen, Geoff Cameron, Joel Lindpere, Landon Donovan, Conor Casey.

(I replaced Landon Donovan on the first team with Bobby Convey, who should definitely have a spot on the first team this week.)

  1. Honestly, Tim Ream is one of the coolest defenders I’ve seen at such a young age. We should be careful though, Davide Santon, a youngster for Inter did no wrong, and earned a senior international call up after his first year of being in a first team side. This year he can hardly sniff any playing time and has had his fair share of mistakes. Hopefully the same sort of scenario doesn’t happen with Tim Ream, because he looks to be a future star.

  2. JSqu, agree 100%. Very frustrating to watch Angel out there. He shut me up with 2 goals, but really, he was awful to watch…

  3. In spite of the mythology (he’s playing well at Rangers)Beasley plays about 10 games a year. Using Landon’s criteria, that’s not enough to choose him.
