Tim Howard 3 (ISIphotos.com)

Tim Howard and Clint Dempsey will be teammates and key figures on the U.S. World Cup team this summer, but at least for one day before the World Cup, they will be opponents.

Serie A has its share of good action today, with AS Roma taking on streaking Sampdoria, while Toronto FC plays host to the Seattle Sounders in today's lone MLS match.

  1. Nfuko is coming and he is really good. Also, they might pick up another DP. They play the best football in MLS and are a good team, they’ll get their stuff together.

  2. Yes, and that’s an awful mistake. Granite is silicon based and most Sounders fans are carbon based. They’re totally different.

  3. Sounders are taking their fans for granite by putting a very poor product on the field. They had a year to improve some serious flaws and did nothing. It’s a shame because they have a large faithful base. They’ll start loosing fans of good football first, but they also have fans who claim Noonan and Estrada were great additions who will stay with a fad. Management, don’t lose either group get off your duffs.

  4. He was playing in the 2nd Division last year with Ljungskile and Diskerud isn’t starting that often for Staebak.

  5. Villa and St. Pauli are my two teams. I can’t wait to be able to watch them both in their respective top divisions next season. That said, I don’t have the animosity toward HSV that most German St. Pauli fans would have. But I can’t wait for the derby matches.

  6. No idea. I was reacting as if it were the case. But he and his girlfriend do seem to have grown very close over the past several months. I certainly wouldn’t be surprised.

  7. Yes, Jamie, you are right. HSV fans apparently blocked the team bus as it was leaving Hoffenheim. Team management is meeting later tonight to make a decision re: Labbadia.

    GO FC St. Pauli!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Yeah, the nerve of him for being excited about his own engagement! He’s letting down dozens upon dozens of soccer fans with his selfish behavior!
