  1. Sorry bro, USA is overrated is that good enough for you. Please don’t use Confed Cup as another excuse. You won two games and played in a final; that won’t even happen in the Concacrap Gold Cup with no respect and history in football.

  2. And what happened to those so called bids? Where did he end up? Hull City! Please they are called rumors in football sorry Americans don’t get that *sarcasm*. Yeah just like Chelsea is interested in Donovan, that was the joke of the year.

  3. Yeah the same guy who missed an empty net against Tottenham? So I will judge a bust in Germany with 10+ games in the English Premier League as a success? You play the whole season then come talk about playing well. Football is about consistency.

  4. Ewww… Now I have to wipe off my laptop screen from all of the contempt dripping from your last post. Sure, I’d agree that 2 to 3 goals in any WC will be tough but next time you’re going to spew vitriol from both nostrils please have the decency to warn a brother…

  5. 2 or 3 goals against which teams? You think the English, Slovenian or Algerian midfield and defense is filled with players from vacation spots you play against in Concacrap? Supersub for Villarreal indeed.

  6. Would you happen to be Iain Dowie? The Hull fans don’t think that. EPL pundits don’t think that and you’d be hard pressed to find someone that does. I was at the Hull vs Stoke game a few weeks back. The conversation the entire game was about how Hull’s best player Altidore was on the bench and not just a few comments here or there. The entire supporters section was pretty pissed. and he was injured while at Xerez. and to score by the way you have to get the ball more than once a game.

  7. The facts are he is another American on his way to being a bust; typical. He did not even get a minute with Xerez in the 2nd division. First it was Phil Brown, now the new coach. Both coaches cannot hate Altidore if he is not getting minutes. Maybe all you fans need to take off the blinders. A striker is paid to score not pass the ball or hold it. You don’t score, you don’t play. Same with a goalie, you let it in, you r out.

  8. Weird how before start of the season we all said he’d score 5-10 goals. Really tough since Hull play like shite and he never starts. But Villarreal will take him back and he should ride the bench but be a super-sub.

It’s all on his WC performance. 2 or 3 goals will have him making a big role for any team he is loaned or traded to.

  9. Hull sucks just as Altidore is poor too. No EPL club would be stupid enough to sign such a player for next season. Villarreal realized they waster 10 million on a bust.

  10. Agreed! I’m English and I think he should be in the starting line up ahead of Fat Frank. Either that or playing on the right if Lennon doesn’t come back. Another great thing about Milner is his versatility.

  11. Personally, I think it’s better that Hull go down instead of West Ham. Spector won’t get on with another Prem team and we need him in the Prem but Jozy will no doubt either go back to Villareal or be picked up by a top flight club
