The UEFA Champions League is off this week, but that doesn't mean it's a slow Wednesday in the soccer world.

In fact, today features a pretty packed slate of games, with the Premier League, La Liga and Mexican leagues all in action, along with Copa Libertadores.

Tim Howard battles Brad Friedel today as Everton takes on Aston Villa, while Tottenham faces Arsenal in a London Derby that should be one of the most entertaining matches of the day.

  1. i love FSC+. Just got it in the last couple days. The fact that this channel now gives me A) soccer in hd, B) more european games and C) an opportunity to watch championship games and hence, american players within the championship.

  2. He’s not a USA citizen. He was pursuing permanent residency before his transfer. I doubt anyone has any clue whether he’s still trying to get that.

  3. Yura Movsisyan scored two goals today for Randers. I know he’s expressed interest in playing for the US team. Anyone know about his eligibility?

  5. This isn’t the first time Rolfe has been compared to Landon. They both are good goalscorers, both good taking people on, both seem to have good technique in service delivery, both are practically two footed, both are creative, both have guile. The list actually goes on and on. Even Alexi Lalas has said it himself that Chris Rolfe is a poor man’s version of Landon Donovan.

  8. Which incidentally was the ad next to my post! Now if they were smart, it’d flash a message saying “Pissed at missing every European game played during the day? TiVO can save those games for you so you can enjoy them when you finally get home.”
