The UEFA Champions League semifinals kick off today, with Inter Milan playing host to defending champion FC Barcelona in Milan (2:45pm, FSN/FSE/DirecTV).

Barcelona has had to take a long journey to Italy thanks to the European flight bans caused by the Icelandic volcano eruption, but that shouldn't stop today's match from being as tightly-contested as the last time these teams met in Milan, a 0-0 draw last fall in the Champions League group stage.

If you will be watching today's match, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

Enjoy the action.

  1. I been a Barca Fan since the 90s when u were probably just learning about the sport of Football mate lol, I’m just pissed at all the politics going on so i wish them all the worse this season , next season I’ll be back in my colors . just hated how the gave away eto for nothing in exchange for an overrated Zlatan i knew he would flop before he came but Pep the Genius thought he was some scientist and could turn this self centered man into a team player . Mistake Mistake and they are paying for it right now .

  2. dempsey E:60 was truly powerful. Dempsey is a genuine and sincere player. Wish him and the USMNT the best in South Africa. USA USA USA champs!

  3. Barca took the bus, yes indeed.

I also like how Balotelli got his a$$ kicks by Matrix after the match was over. Whatever is going on with that guy must be pretty intense, I assume this seals his transfer out of Inter…

  4. To be fair, it really was much closer, the refs just inexplicably missed a rather obvious offsides on Inter’s third goal.

Of course, those refs also blew an offsides that cost Inter a chance in the first half. Deserved win for Inter.

  5. Did Barca have to take the bus (14 hours) to Milan or were they able to fly?

If so will Inter have to take the bus to Barcelona to keep it fair? (joke)

  6. True, the result is by no means decisive or insurmountable, but I think most expected this game to be much closer. You can expect Barca to bring it next week though.

  7. Before any Inter fans get carried away, Barca only needs a rather ordinary 2-0 result at home to advance on away goals. Having said that, Messi was predictably denied by 3/5 of Brazil’s starting defense, which shouldn’t surprise anyone who pays attention to Argentina (or Brazil).

  8. pretty sure that was not a flop! wesley caught him from behind. and im not a barca fan nor inter, but wesley def. fouled in the box. inter played great though, with the help of the official.

  9. Uh, really? Inter played great after the Barca goal; and did well shelling at the end. To say they didn’t deserve a 2 goal lead is fair, but they certainly earned a victory this leg.

  10. Great win by Inter. Pique was better on the attack than Ibra. Barca will need Iniesta back and some threat in the middle to win at home. Sergio, Alves, Ibra, and Keita were all out played.
