Bayern Munich and Inter Milan will meet Saturday afternoon as the world's eyes turn to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid for the UEFA Champions League final (2:30 p.m., Fox).

Both teams are in position to end the season with a treble, as Inter has already won the Scudetto and Coppa Italia and Bayern won the Bundesliga and German Cup.

Both teams feature star Dutch midfielders, as Inter's Wesley Sneijder and Bayern's Arjen Robben are vital to their respective teams' success.

Both teams feature legendary managers, as Inter's Jose Mourinho and Bayern's Louis van Gaal each have won the Champions League before.

Despite the fact that Franck Ribery is suspended for the match, all factors point to an enticing final between two deserving sides that have defeated top competition to get to the championship match.

The question for you is simple:

Who do you see winning, and why?

  1. Thank you! Network TV Fox. No kidding. Just goes to show the effect of mainstream media’s lack of futbol coverage: You say Fox, & I automatically assume FSC or Fox Sports Espanol. Thanks for clearing it up.

  2. Bayern Munchen will play exciting football and will show they can get around that Italian deffense like they have done 2 times this season already, I am going to say it will be a 2-1 win for Bayern with goals from Robben and Olic, and a goal from Snijder for Inter.

  3. Is the game definitely going to be shown live on FSC @ 230 ET? Just wanted to make sure because the FSC TV schedule on their website says otherwise. It’s probably a mistake though. Has to be.

  4. Bayern is the team of destiny! The way they have battled back, especially against Fiorentina and Man U, shows they have the heart of lions! Van Gaal has now shown he is in elite company, and his game management has been nothing less than brilliant! Bayern wins 3-2!

  5. check your local supermarket i hear the johnson & johnson no tears baby shampoo is on sale so you can stop crying. joking joking.

but seriously inters defensive style is as much a legitimate style as barca’s attacking style even if it is admittedly less attractive.
and realize that mourinho’s arrogance is largely an act and that he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

  6. well i’ve lost all respect for the “special one” after that crap he rolled out against barca in the second game. inter have a world class team to be playing like a bunch of pansies. inter unfortunetly will probably win, but oh man, would i love to see that big ‘ol head of his just blow up after the loss. def. rooting for bayern, atleast you know they’ll play their game no matter who their facing.

  7. Bayern is going to get smoked and it won’t even be close. Their luck run will out as they will be playing a truly disciplined team and their poor defense will undo them.

  8. It’s amazing how many people have picked Inter. Van Gall is the puppet master puling the strings this year. Inter is going to lose this one. No great history in the Champions League and Bayern is just class this year.

  9. I believe Inter will win because they’ll shut down Robben. Robben has won nearly every important game for Bayern. Without him there would be no single trophy this year.

Incredibly Robben sells his right foot very effectively, but almost never attacks from the right. The special one will make him go right.

  10. Inter will win the CL because they have 3/5 of Brazil’s starting defense (Maicon, Lucio, and Julio Cesear) and Brazil will win the World Cup because they have 5/5 of Brazil’s starting defense.

  11. i forgot about this match cuz of all the hype for the world cup going on. I am betting on inter to win. lets go Ivan Cordoba!

  12. I just don’t see the special one losing this. Two conflicting styles, though, could make this an interesting game. Bayern will have to run and gun early, because if Inter goes up a goal, they’ll pack it in
