FC Dallas takes on the Houston Dynamo tonight (8pm, Galavision) in a match-up of teams that have won a combined six MLS Cup titles, but are going through periods of transition this year.
The Dynamo (4-4-1) enter in better shape than D.C., but inconsistency has doomed Houston to an average season so far as Dom Kinnear's squad copes with the loss of Stuart Holden and Ricardo Clark (as well as the season-ending surgery for Geoff Cameron).
D.C. United (1-7) is mired in its worst start in club history, but more competitive performances in recent weeks has D.C. believing that a turnaround might be on the way. Curt Onalfo's team has been beset by injuries, but an improving defense has D.C. competing much better than earlier in the season.

DC look like a good to average college team at best
Obviously, those who “have a life” are excused from being ignorant twats.
to Castillo’s credit, he is getting himself into good positions. just needs to finish. maybe he will eventually come good…?
Can’t blame Onalfo for all the problems but he will be the fall guy. Kasper and Payne selected all these second stringers and buying players for ethnic vs. skill purposes.
There transfer rumors are even a joke. Marlon Harewood? Bwaahaha!!! What a waste of DP money that would be. DC is in horrible shape right now and I honestly dont have any respect for the way this club and organization is being managed. There isn’t one positive note for them. Atleast we knew NY was gone get better with henry rumors and new stadium last year. Sorry for rant DC fans, it just frustrates me to see any MLS team in such a negative state.
Oduro running circles around DCU’s defense
Onalfo + castillo + allsopp + morsink = better than inter Milan
And the fat lady begins to sing…..another stellar game by DC United. Just start calling them the DC Red Bulls of 2009.
fantastic strike from Oduro. i take it all back. LOL
And it continues….Castillo has not gotten one corner kick past the first defender.
Castillo definitely should have done better on that free header in the box. And that whiff? — oh dear
sorry monkeybreath, i have a life and missed the pre-game and im watching it in spanish on galavision. just wondering why perkins was starting.
off topic but Sigi Schmid’s post game interview is hella ripping on Ljungberg and his whining ways. About time someone in Seattle says something
When I started watching MLS, DC seemed like a decent team, and even looking at last year’s team (at the couple of matches I watched with them in it) they were not all that bad, but it is really hard to believe just how fast things change for a team in the MLS.
Castillo is soo bad it is embarassing. Brought in for the Salvordoran fans but a liability since putting on a DC United uniform. The nightmare continues tonight with zero passes connecting, a whiff on an easy shot in the box and wide open header no where near the net.
A good high school team could beat DC United these days. Second stringers and not all Onalfo’s fault. Kasper and Payne pulled together this sh*t team before Onalfo even showed up.
Landin reminds me too much of Kamara, always on the ground complaining, you can always tell who does not seem to fit with the rest of the team, if he goes down and gets back up almost every time without an actual injury, he does not fit, everyone else who goes downs usually comes up with an injury
LOL. not a bad idea. and actually Landin might be even more frustrating
Brad Davis down with a head wound. Kneed by Pena
And he was off balance shooting it again, I am liking my theory on his shooting accuracy right now
OMG Oduro actually forced a keeper to make a save, maybe he is actually improving
I think he shoots better when off balance than balanced, he got alot closer to the target that time hahaha
Oduro has got to be one of the most frustrating forwards I’ve ever watched. Props to him for keeping his feet and attempting to score, but you have to finish those chances!
Perhaps you should pay attention to pre-game reports. Hamid is injured.
A good drinking game for anyone following the game, drink every time you hear Dom Kinnear curse at his players
DC is playing very agressive, 5 fouls already with the Dynamo not making any yet
First time I am watching this DC team, hard to believe how far they have fallen
Dynamo make a defensive error that almost leads to a dc goal, Dynamo are controlling this game pretty well so far.
umm…why is perkins starting at goal? FIRE ONALFOOL.
And its Danny Cruz with an excellent finish after an excellent passing sequence by the Dynamo
Cruz goal Landin assist.
1-0 Houston
Looks like a warm, sunny evening at Robertson
