The Europa League Final kicks off today with Fulham taking on Atletico Madrid in Hamburg, Germany.
Fulham is looking to cap a dream run through the tournament with one more victory, while Atletico looks to add a trophy before seeing its top player sold off this summer.
U.S. national team midfielder Clint Dempsey is starting today's final on the bench for Fulham, but he is a good bet to come in as a substitute.

Because that cross was spot on wasn’t it? He hasn’t been able to complete any of the passes in the final third, or even the attacking half. His cross was good, but the goal came of the deflection to Davies.
Just because I’m watching doesn’t make me a Fulham fan, far from it. Just excited to see an American in a final. Cool it.

Dempsey needs the ball at his feet in order to be effective. That’s one of the big things UNMNT will miss with Charlie this summer. He can chase down long balls. Dempsey just doens’t have the speed.
