Tonight at the Home Depot Center, a pair of the league's most inconsistent teams prepare to battle.

Chivas USA return to Los Angeles tonight off a seven day road trip that ended on Wednesday with a 3-0 victory against the New England Revolution. A victory tonight will give the Rojiblancos a share of second place in Western Conference. The Houston Dynamo (3-3-1) have been inconsistent this season and were defeated midweek against Texas rivals FC Dallas 1-0. The club will have once again be able to call on forward Brian Ching who will start the match on the bench.

This is Adam Serrano providing you commentary from the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

Enjoy the action.

FULL TIME – Dismal performance tonight for the Rojiblancos. The club came out flat and had little chance against a Houston club that seems to have their number. After falling behind early, the Rojiblancos were unable to generate offense and posed no come back against a determined Dynamo club.

For Houston, the result puts them into a tie with the Earthquakes for second place in the Western Conference. The pair of quick goals were simply too much for Chivas as Houston was able to clamp down on Chivas after scoring early.

That's all for me tonight. Thank you for following along and check back for more on the match later on SBI. Good Night.

————————

83rd Minute – Chivas USA earn a corner.

————————

————————

HALFTIME – Expect Martin Vasquez to make a huge plea to his club at the half time. Chivas USA put up a bit more of a fight at the end of the half, but the Rojiblancos must be incredibly disappointed with this performance.

For Dominic Kinnear's men, the Dynamo seem pleased to sit on this result and maintain possession. The Dynamo immediately put the Rojiblancos behind the eight ball early, but we have seen little offense since then.

————————

1st Minute – Game On!

————————

PREGAME: The match is going to come down to the midfield tonight. If Chivas USA are going to pick up a result then the club will have rebounded from the slow start that they had early in the season. For Houston, this match will give the team a little added comfort heading into the World Cup Break.

It's Armed Forces Appreciation Night here at the Home Depot Center so Chivas USA will be honoring America in Blue Camouflage Uniforms.

Comments

  1. Dynamo won tonight on effort. After any early goal they pushed the game and got another. Then even two goals up they pressured the ball. Mullan ran all over the field. He would be taking players on at one end then 30 sec later he would be chasing down a forward in the back. Just hope the Dynamo did leave too much on that field as they have a game on Thursday. Hard to imagine guys like Mullan going 90′ for 3 games in 8 days at a pace like that.

  2. I guess the two early goals by Houston caused everyone to flee. But why is Johny B. playing outside -MId?
