SBI Live Q&A (May 27th Edition)

It is that time again. Time for SBI readers to send in their soccer (and pop culture) questions and time for me to answer as many of those questions as I can.

There are plenty of things to discuss, from the U.S. World Cup roster to the upcoming MLS match of the week between LA and Columbus, to the series finale of Lost. If you have a question, feel free to send it my way.

Let's get started:

Comments

  1. Hey Ives-

Is it worthwhile for MLS clubs to play these games to draw in some of the Euro-centric fans or are these friendly games an irrelevant distraction from the league games the teams should be focusing on, etc?

Whats your take on the recent victories of MLS clubs over some of the world’s elite clubs?

    Cheers,

    Mike

  2. Brazil!!!!! Those guys can’t even beat a bunch of little Indians in Peru and Bolivia at home. I bet Brazil doesn’t even make it out of the quarter finals. By the way, what the hell have you been eating, Ives? You look like a big fat wet burrito with ears; throw in a jalapeno and that would be your nose.

    HAHAHA! Nice one Ives!

  4. The debate about who starts next to Bradley seems to revolve around Edu and Clark, but no one mentions Feilhaber. Benny started and played well in a couple matches in the Confederations Cup, and helped set up the goals in the Spain game. He gives the team creative spark, but not many people give him a legitimate chance to start. Would like to see him get time against Turkey and Australia.

  6. Torres. As much as I love him, he’s a possession guy and that’s not Bob Bradley’s thing. Lil Bradley will be on the field all 90, and he’s the ‘attacker’ in that set.

  7. Do you think Findley’s inclusion has anything to do with England’s aging center-backs and their struggles with Mexico’s speedsters on Monday?

  8. Ives, love the site as usual…simply put, Findley over Ching…don’t get it. Do you? I know the cliche “speed kills”, but Findley hasn’t proved to me much on the international level. Am I reading too much into this or are we sacrificing experience and quality for the sake of speed? Thanks.
