  1. Same as Hannover wins 4-2 over Schalke and then lose 7-0 the next week to Bayern.

Hannover really need to win and were playing at home. They’ll need at least a tie next week to stay out of the bottom 2.

  2. What happened there? I’m happy that Hannover’s out of the drop, at least for now. But how do you go from drawing Bayern to losing 6-1 to Hannover?

  3. City’s keeper look VERY shaky…Villa just needs to put pressure on that guy and the second (and third) will come. Honestly though, they are looking like an Europa cup side much more than a CL side.

  4. Fair point. I think it’s because Feilhaber was getting European development and Holden wasn’t. Now that Holden is in one of the best leagues in the world, he’ll be very well developed.

  5. MB scoring would be good, but Hannover might have to worry about goal differential. As it is ‘Gladbach just scored, 5-1.

  6. two of the boys doing a favor for each other. i like it. Dolo just needs to let MB score a couple times and its a good trade.

  7. Thankfully. Hannover’s had a rough season. Though they’ll probably need at least a tie next week to stay up. .

  8. Michael Bradley and ‘Gladbach are doing Steve Cherundolo and Hannover a major favor. This win would put them 4th from the bottom!

  9. Now I’m sure Oguchi Onyewu won’t be playing for AC Milan as they aim to secure Champions League Qualifications.

  10. and JUST like that it’s Adebayor with another goal for City! 2-1! Vieira finds Johnson on the left side of the 6. Johnson faked his man, and found Adebayor sitting in front of the 6 yard box. Easy for the Togo international

  11. Penalty. Tevez to take…Gets it!

    1-1 in the 41st.

Villa nearly take back the lead on a great shot by I believe it’s Carew.

  12. Villa nearly get a second with a James Milner shot skipping just wide. Deemed to have taken a deflection. Corner.

  13. They’re probably taking a note out of Jose Mourinho’s book and absorbing pressure while picking appropriate times to get forward. You can’t blame them for sitting back, because with guys like Tevez and Bellamy in City’s attack, they could easily get caught on the counter.

  14. man, Aston Villa is really frustrating to watch today. They have the lead but are not showing any confidence. Ashley Young is the only player showing a sense of urgency. City’s keeper is looking really shaky. they need to get some pressure on him.

  15. the US is insanely deep…but Hart is NASTY. I don’t know if he is better than our guys, but I would much rather prefer that they have David James in net.

  16. HA HA HA! OH, how could anyone disagree with that. Yeah, Guzan and Kasey Keller could probably hold it down for the English, shoot, Calamity James was their #1…it’s a carousel of keepers over there.

  17. Joe Hart could very well be the netminder for the 3 Lions vs US. Have a good look.

Yea or nay…We have 3 keepers, at least, who could easily suit of for the ENG NATS, Howard, Friedel, Hahnemann. Am I missing anyone else??

  18. Today brought to you by the letter B, obviously. Why? Bolton brings back their badddass! (here’s hoping).

  19. There’s no way ESPN would’ve taken Birmingham v. Burnley if they had any choice in the matter, would they? Do they just get the early game no matter what it is?
