i still don’t see how this was in any way good move for him.
won’t matter if they have Sir Alex wearing the gloves in SA if we don’t take our chances well.
Bayern looks very sharp
Soccer fans in Italy are know to be some of the worst in terms of racism and thuggery.
Well, I personally believe Leo is dumb and its not b/c of gooch. However, I think gooch is most likely not 100 percent yet, that is probably why he didnt make it
spurs are a bunch of scrubs…. Tevez will take Dawson and king to school on Wednesday. If money isn’t everything then there would be no world football…. Atleast we have a future, spurs will be mediocre again next season
nope. the youngster albertazzi got the spot on the bench. disappointing. can’t wait for him to get outta milan
Is Gooch even on the bench for Milan tonight?
Just watched the taped broadcast of Portsmouth and Wolves, and James was excellent today (and he’s been excellent the last few weeks for Portsmouth). He’s certainly known for the occasional disastrous error, but when he’s good, he’s really, really good. As for Marcus, no major errors, but his reactions looked a bit slow for the 2nd and 3rd goals.
I mean, I’m not saying that they should both be starting, but if it had to come to that, It’s not a half bad option. As far as who gets the ball into the attack, the USA didn’t have an extremely creative force against Spain and they had chances. Not a lot, but enough to say that Bradley and Clark did their job. The point was to stop Spain from working right up the middle and force their players to other look out wide or dribble out wide. Bocanegra and Spector don’t have the pace to stop them, but with Onyewu, DeMerit and Howard right behind them to help put out fires, it was the least vicious attack.
Of course that’s all a pretty moot point because Bradley seems to like the 4-4-2 and I’d say for good reason. It keeps constant pressure on the opposition’s backline, so if wing backs like Sergio Ramos, Capdevilla, Dani Alves, and Andre Santos get forward, it means space for the USA’s two strikers to move into. The first goal against Spain is a pretty good example of that. Bradley gets a beautiful pass to Davies, who is wide left to take the space Sergio Ramos left. Davies brings that pass down for Dempsey and the rest is US Soccer history.
2-0 Roma! Totti cross to Taddei’s head…
Forza…Laz…Laz… come on, say it .. Laz…Lazio!
He is better than an US striker and he isnt one.
And soccernet reporting 4-1 W for Aarhus. Anyone hear how Benny did?
Pretty good weekend for the national team. Lots of guys getting playing time. Bradley, Clark, Edu, Cherundolo and Beasley.
Fans are always getting banned for one reason or another in at least one stadium. Juve had that done to them a couple of times this season I believe. Still, who knows?
I think you misunderstood what he was saying.
I think he was commenting on the massive number of away fans.
I can never understand how so many top players are in Italy. Whenever I watch games on TV, there are so many empty seats. How do Italian teams afford even mediocre players much less the number of real quality players that play in Serie A?
7,000+ Roma fans @ Parma … come onnnnn!!!
Who would get the ball past the midfield stripe?
Although MB in an advanced CM role could be interesting.
I can see it now..vs. England:
LD – Edu – MB – Clark – Deuce
——–Jozy—————-
LOL!
+2
hopefully city lose so then tottenham can show money isnt everything. on the other hand if man city win it made be a little bit more “fair” transfer market if u catch my drift.
City and Tottenham play next weekend in the last game of the season…..if they tie, tottenham gets fourth. but, whoever wins gets it
CMON CITEH
It comes down to Wednesday
Man City v. Tottenham
City must win to overtake Spurs heading to the final weekend.
It’s nice to have Edu and Clark both getting playing time for their respective clubs.
I think they have to keep on winning and hope Tott. lose.
D’ohh… great run by Richards to find Bellamy and from that range… not much Friedel could do on the curler. This mean CL for Man City?
Wright-Phillips sets up Bellamy for what should be the dagger. City 3-1.
…This just in…
Brad Friedel is a good keeper.
Cuellar has been a certified beast on Villa’s backline. Saved their *ss a few times today.
