If the Reds knock off Chelsea at Anfield today, they will give Manchester United a chance to take over the lead in the Premier League and move a step closer to breaking Liverpool's own record of 18 league titles. A Liverpool loss would push Chelsea a step closer to the Premier League title.

England isn't the only place with title-deciding matches on tap. Real Madrid will look to keep its own title hopes alive with a win today against Osasuna. Barcelona defeated Villarreal on Saturday, meaning Cristiano Ronaldo andcmopany will need awin today to keep up.

In Italy, Inter Milan will be looking to regain the top spot in Serie A with a win today against Lazio after Roma regained the top spot with a win against Lazio on Saturday.

  1. no way. Fabianski has 2 appearances in the league, you might as well write ‘Guzan’. warnock is in some peoples best XI for the year and was a genuine shout for the england squad if cole was to be out any longer.

  2. Congrats to FC Saint Pauli!

They all but assured promotion with their win earlier today (3 point lead and up 16 in GD.) They still have a shot at the 2.Bundesliga title next week. Ives has some crow to eat after saying they wouldn’t get promoted in one of the Q&A posts.

  3. Agreed Dolo doesn’t get the love or respect he deserves for playing at high level in Bundesliga for a long time…but he is on downside of his career now, not quite as quick as when he was younger. Still by USMNT standards agreed he’s a main stud.

  4. I was thinking that too re Spector just being tired…but we need him more focused and charged up in about….6 weeks.

  5. I think Hodgson is just easing Clint back into playing after his injury lay-off; Fulham always look more dangerous with Clint on field which I think Hodgson has noticed too. Not to worry.

  6. I’ve been wondering same thing – but to be fair wasn’t he decent for 1st half of season?

His form has dipped – a lot – at bad time for USMNT.

Maybe playing for boardroom soap opera/near-relegation West Ham…is tiring : )

  7. I think that would be a good idea. though I’m not sold on Onyewu starting when he hasn’t played in forever

  8. I Disagree, Adu drew about 6 FK’s including beating his man on a few with some swift turns. He seemed to be the only Aris player able to do something today. His FK’s were excellent also.

  9. Adu plays about 70min for Aris. Usual average performance from him – couple of tricks, but nothing to write home about. Aris losing 2-0
