Wednesday Kickoff: Barcelona-Tenerife, Old Firm highlights

By AVI CREDITOR

Lionel Messi scored two more goals to pad his league total to 31, Bojan and Pedro each found the back of the net and FC Barcelona pulled away from Tenerife to win Tuesday, 4-1, and keep the pressure on Real Madrid in the La Liga race.

Barca leads Madrid by four points in the league table, though Cristiano Ronaldo & Co. have a game in hand (including a match at Mallorca on Wednesday).

CELTIC TAKES OLD FIRM DERBY

Marc-Antoine Fortune scored right before halftime to give Glasgow Celtic a 2-1 edge that it would hang on to in winning some bragging rights in Tuesday's Old Firm match against Glasgow Rangers.

Maurice Edu started and played 90 minutes, and DaMarcus Beasley did not dress for Rangers, who had pulled level in the 43rd minute on Kenny Miller's goal.

Rangers will still win the Scottish Premier League even after dropping the result to its rival, as it maintains an eight-point lead in the table with just one match remaining in the season. Here's video of the final two goals:
