The Los Angeles Galaxy and the Houston Dynamo do battle tonight in one of the last matches before the World Cup break in MLS. The Galaxy are riding an 11 game unbeaten streak while the Dynamo come to Southland having dropped their last two matches.

This is Adam Serrano providing you commentary from the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

Enjoy the action. (Commentary below the jump)

FINAL – Great performance by the home team as they dominate the Dynamo after a early scare. The Galaxy depth has been incredibly impressive this season as it seems that any host of players can score for the club. The Dynamo struggled all night getting an offense going and in the end were no match for the Galaxy defense. That's all for me tonight. Look for more on SBI shortly. Have a good night!

—————————–

FINAL – A quick three minutes goes by and the game is over. Galaxy 4-1.

—————————–

90th Minute – 3 minutes of stoppage time. It's smokey here at the Home Depot Center as an unknown puff of smoke has fallen on the stadium. If you thought LA had smog problems before. Geez

—————————–

83rd Minute – With this victory the Galaxy's unbeaten streak will go to 12 games which ties a league record and will go to 15 games overall tying a team record. Incredible.

—————————–

77th Minute- GALAXY SUB: DeLaGarza enters the game for Cregg Berhalter. The Galaxy are in full pack it in mode now as they are looking to avoid injuries as this point.

—————————–

75th Minute – Houston is starting to show a little bit of action as they force a corner in the Galaxy end.

—————————–

70th Minute – GALAXY SUB: Clint Mathis takes over for the two goal scorer Jovan Kirovski. Fantastic game by the veteran who really stepped up in a big way tonight for Los Angeles.

—————————–

68th Minute- DYNAMO SUB: Richard Mulrooney for Brad Davis

——————————

66th Minute – Houston is hoping that the additional strikers can allow them to get back into this game, but it looks like that the Galaxy are proving too much for the Dynamo tonight.

——————————

61st Minute – GALAXY SUB: Juninho will make way for Chris Klein.

——————————

60th Minute – HOUSTON SUBS: Cruz is pulled for Dominic Oduro and Brian Mullan will come in Craig Waibel.

——————————

59th Minute – The Galaxy are proving to be the deepest team in the league as it appears that a host of characters can step in at a moment's notice to come through for the club. It appears that the Dynamo will make two subs with Mullan and Oduro looking to come in.

——————————

56th Minute – GALAXY GOAL!!! JOGA BONITO HITS LA AS ALEX CAZUMBA SCORES HIS FIRST CAREER MLS GOAL!

——————————

51st Minute – Houston will have to chase this match now as the Galaxy are controlling possession so far this half. Great play by Bowen with the goal as he has done a spectacular job since taking a starting role.

——————————

48th Minute – GALAXY GOAL! TRISTAN BOWEN WITH THE GOAL!!! fantastic effort by the younger who beats a Houston defender and slots it past Pat Onstad. His second career MLS Goal.

——————————

45th Minute – And Here We Go! The Second half is underway.

——————————

HALF TIME – Chippy half between a pair of good teams. Sean Franklin has been instrumental for the Galaxy's success so far tonight providing the assist on both of Jovan Kirovski's goals. The Dynamo are creating some opportunities but so far have been unable to break down the Galaxy defense which is considered the best in the league.

As always if you're following along let me hear from you in the comments section.

——————————

HALF TIME – The Galaxy clear a near chance for the Dynamo and the whistle is blown. 2-1 at the half at the Home Depot Center.

——————————

45th Minute – 3 minutes of stoppage time due to the Weaver injury earlier in the half.

—————————–

45th Minute – Incredibly scrappy game between two clubs with a very long history together. The Dynamo are trying to get a late goal and are putting a great deal of pressure on the Galaxy end but have had no luck converting.

—————————–

43rd Minute – BIG SAVE! Bowen with a break away but Onstad comes up big for Houston! What a save by the veteran!

—————————–

41st Minute – The Galaxy are smelling the blood right now. Cazumba with a fantastic Brazil style fake that leads to a shot that goes just wide.

—————————–

39th Minute- Sean Franklin has shown a great deal of poise today. Earning two assists and getting into the attack very well. I would have to say that he's been the true catalyst for the Galaxy today.

—————————–

36th Minute – Game appears to have settled into the midfield right now, not the end to end contest that we expected with the early goals. If you're following along let me hear from you.

—————————–

33rd Minute – The Dynamo are camped out in the Galaxy end for the moment, but as they have times before, the Galaxy defense is proving a tough nut to crack.

—————————–

31st Minute – Houston maintaining possession for the time being. Harshness coming from the Riot Squad directed at Brian Ching. Chants that we will not be allowed to print right here. Ouch.

—————————–

30th Minute – BIG SAVE BY RICKETTS! Ching gets great service from Weaver and is all alone but the big Jamaican makes a fantastic save that forces a Houston corner.

—————————–

28th Minute – The Dynamo are looking a bit stunned out there right now as the Galaxy appear to have taken control of their game with Kirovski's second goal of the night.

—————————–

22nd Minute – Franklin crosses the ball into Jovan who puts it by the Houston keeper Onstad. Fantastic play by the veteran so far tonight.

——————————

21st Minute – GALAXY GOAL AND ITS KIROVSKI AGAIN!!

——————————

20th Minute – The Galaxy have looked the threatening bunch so far, but we'll be able to see what they're made of after giving up a goal after an early lead.

———————

18th Minute – Late start due to an unfortunate accident on the freeway. Coming to you live from the Home Depot Center where the Galaxy and the Dynamo are playing to a draw thanks to a goal by Jovan Kirovski and Cam Weaver.

———————-

8th Minute – BIG COLLISION WITH WEAVER AND FRANKLIN AND THE BALL GOES PAST RICKETTS FOR THE HOUSTON GOAL. Weaver is down but will get back up.

———————-

2nd Minute – GOAL! Kirovski with the early goal and the Galaxy once again strike first. Fantastic play by Los Angeles.

  1. he gets chanted US reject and suddenly everyones moral compass points due north, please ppl could yell worse things. part of being a fan is giving your team that psychological edge. if we had to worry about another players feelings we really shouldn’t be yelling anything. Also, did you notice Ching score? no, so that helps the galaxy. i could care less about another team or their players. also if he wanted to shut up the LA fans he should have scored but he didn’t

  2. You’re right. We’re awesome 🙂

It’s LARS, we’re about the lolz. Sit back, have a laugh and let it go

  3. Why are comments revealing what the Riot Squad were chanting being deleted? Shouldn’t we be exposing them for the tasteless “fans” they are?

(SBI-Curse words are automatically blocked from this site, so it isn’t about the Riot Squad. It’s about eliminating curse words.)

  4. I’m a Galaxy fan, but I don’t like the fact that LARS chanted that. I’m glad that Ching didn’t get selected to the World Cup, but he doesn’t deserve that. The guy is a warrior and he tries his a$$ off no matter what.

ESC was chanting the same thing at Ching during the NYRB and Dynamo game earlier in the week.

  5. Got to hand it to Galaxy — they thoroughly dominated the Dynamo who looked jet-lagged coming off the Wednesday night game in New York.

One of the L.A. supporters groups was chanting “U.S. reject” at Ching. Low class. Galaxy fans have the largest superiority complex in the league.

  6. I just got home… God, 200 miles of travel to watch this Galaxy team is worth EVERY minute of that freaking LOUSY Saturday afternoon LA traffic.

I have to say that I wish LARS wasn’t chanting what Adam couldn’t print in his commentary… I’ve always admired Ching and really think he is still quality. He didn’t deserve that but… then again, the assistant who was just in front of Ching as they exited the field at the end of the game and flipped LARS the bird is garbage…

Keep working hard LAG and take it to the US Open and the CONCACAF tourney… Take it hard and win all three…

  7. What has happened to Houston? Their defense looks as porous as the Galaxy’s did a few years back. The last two goals, Onstad really should have stopped. The first two were due to criminally bad marking. They made Jovan Kirovski look like a world-class striker! Maybe a back line with 2 aging defenders (Robinson, Waibel) and an ancient goalie isn’t a good idea.

  8. What is really amazing is how solid Bruce Arena has built the LA Galaxy Defense. Of course Buddle, Donovan and Beckham are gone, but they played ahead of a fantastic defense that allow creativity in the midfield, allows for mistakes, and feeds to pretty good front line. Everybody is on the same page, so quality chances are plentiful and the players deliver.

  9. That’s f*ckin beautiful. Damn even the bench is beautiful. Saunders, Klein, DeLaGarza, Magee, Juninho, Mathis, Jordan.

  10. If this is how the Galaxy play now, imagine when they get Buddle, Donovan, AND Beckham back.

I’m actually wondering, but Bowen IS a second forward/winger, right?
