For all of the SBI fans in the Tri-State area and beyond, this is just a reminder that we will be having a viewing party for the United States-England match on Saturday.
The party will be at Dempsey's at 61 2nd Avenue, between 3rd and 4th street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Dempsey's is great place to watch a soccer game with a lot of TVs and a great atmosphere. Just say you are with the SBI group at the door and they will lead you to our area.
We have put together a drink special for our readers. It will be $30 all you can drink beer and wine from 1-5 p.m. The SBI readership will have a back area roped off just for us from 12-1:45 to talk and get to know each other. The wristbands will only be sold until 1:45 when the back area will be opened up to general public. There are drink specials for anyone coming late.
There is also a Facebook event that was started yesterday. If you want to check it out and RSVP that you are coming, it will help us get a better grasp on numbers.
We would love to have any viewers in the New York area choose to watch one of the most highly anticipated matches of the tournament with SBI.
chicki chicki yeah yeah
And now you’ve your homeboy Herculez to root for.

If you’re in DC you should know we are holding a charity event for United for DC (DC United’s charitable arm) at Mister Days in Clarendon. Go to http://www.rampagesoccer.info for more details
Boston Folks!
Where are we congregating? Is it Phoenix Landing in Central Square?
Help a brother out. yo!
Hey anyone in Las Vegas or stopping by for the weekend. Don’t forget to head down to the ‘Crown and Ancher’ on Tropicana and Marryland Parkway next to UNLV. I would like to meet up with a lot of US Soccer fanatics that don’t mind singing, chanting, dancing, jumping and yelling GGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL USA, USA, USA. This is a British Pub with too many Brits and I don’t want to be the only American getting laud up in here. Where your colors and your flag.
Every where we go….. Every where we go……. I want the people to know….. who we are….. and where we come from…… so we tell them…..we’re the US …. the US ….. RA RA RA RA ooraahh!!!
Sempre Fidelis
US National Team.
Nothing but heart.
That would make me happy.
go to ussoccer.com
They should give you a list of bars around the country
My goal is just to tie with England but a better result would be for USA beating England
If you are any where near Albany NY and are looking for a place to take in Saturday’s games, head down to Wolff’s Biergarten on 895 Broadway. They are having a World Cup Block Party. The street will be blocked off, making room for a BIG tent, BIG beers and the BIG game on BIG screens. Wolff’s really stepped up during qualifying and showed the Honduras game to a packed house. This will be a great event. Tent’s open at 11.
I wish I was in New York, I would join that party.
But alas, I have a family event in Columbus. Anyone know a good place in Columbus, OH to watch the game? I will go there before the graduation party I am attending
I’ll be in NYC for the US-Algeria game. Any other good places to watch aside from Dempsey’s and Nevada Smith’s?
Go to Fado Irish Pub on 15th and Locust. You won’t regret it. Dark Horse in Society Hill works too.
Anyone know of any events in the Baltimore MD. area?
2 – 1 Yanks.
I know there are at least a couple of SBI followers from Missoula, MT. For those of you from Zoo Town, see you at the Press Box.
I went to Lucky Bar for Euro 08. It was decked out with 32 national flags last time I walked by. I’ll be at home on Saturday though.
Always welcome…to be razzed I’m sure
Hey guys, I’m throwing a BBQ for the game, but does anyone know if they will be doing this for all the USA games?
I’ll be at Soccer in the Circle at Dupont Circle in DC. It should be crazy. My backup plan is Molly Malone’s if the scene at dupont circle isn’t sufficient.
This sounds great and I would love to go, but I live in Philadelphia. In any event, SBI is national by now, isn’t it? Please think about organizing a viewing party in Philadelphia, too, maybe if USA gets out of Group play?
I’ve been to matches in England before. Gonna just blend in, but I say that now a couple of pints in me and a good old USA showing and I might spend the night in an English jail. I can not wait for this one. But, in all honesty, I predict a 1-1 result.
word. I’m in Mexico and I proudly rock my stars and stripes! even got on TV Azteca for the embarrassing Gold Cup loss…
Don’t be lame. You’re American, let ’em know.
I land in London at 11:30AM and plan on making it safely to a pub where for the remainder of the day I will be Canadian. Very excited to be in England for the match.
you know it!
I’d go, but I can’t stand to see so many Americans crying and drowning their sorrows after they get thrashed 5-0.
Then again, one could look on the positive side and say that 120 million Americans (40%) will be watching. That’s still a fair number.
2:00 EST, the kickoff celebration has begun! World Cup 2010 is here!
hallelujah
Congratulations to Ives for the mention in this week’s Sports Illustrated as a great website for soccer news and views.

Reminder for those in Denver to go to the British Bulldog for the game where they are blocking off Stout, putting up a 11′ by 14′ screen, having Rapids players signing autographs, and supposedly a Budweiser beer truck is supposed to be keeping the beer flowing. It’ll be SICK
