The string of pre-World Cup international friendlies continues Thursday, as Italy-Mexico (1:15 p.m. EST, Telemundo) highlights a three-game slate.
Spain and South Korea kicked off at noon in a matchup of two South Africa-bound teams, and Germany and Bosnia-Herzegovina will meet at 2:30 p.m.
If you are already watching or will be watching any of Thursday's friendlies on television or live Internet feed, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and any play-by-play in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action.
WOW. Italy may not get out of their group with this kind of play :O
NOW THAT WAS SPECIAL… The whole posession… Blancs chip through ball and the finish… Magic football..
Classic dive tactic…Italy trying everything to avoid blushes.
i wouldnt mind having a couple mexican players on our team, specifically pablo barrera, giovani dos santos & efrain juarez.
i dont think so. i can only understand a few words, mostly the important ones, like “tiro”, “remate” and “goooooooool!”
I may be shunned on here as USMNT fan but I sure enjoy watching Mexico play..especially over the past 2 weeks… lovely football minus the finishing.
Ah, thanks.
I have trouble totally understanding it in espanol. Is it being broadcast with english commentary at all?
looks like Italy’s back line is doing their best Bornstein/Pearce impression.
That is how I think the US might become a top team; combining the athleticism of Europeans with the skills of Hispanic immigrants. But that will only happen until the youth systems changes.
that was chicharito who wiffed, vela gave him a goal on a platter.
Italy looks like a bunch of slow old guys… HMMMMM
WHAT A MISS… if we combined mexico’s speed with our height & finish prowess, man, that would be a decent team.
Mexico has been showing why it makes sense to have a 60-day training camp. Agreed that if they had a guy like Luis Herandez they would be really dangerous. Unfortunately for them they have tiny GKs and horrible finishing. Chicarito just gave Medina a sitter and he fell all over himself on the 6.
If Mexico weren’t such poor finishers, they’d be really dangerous in this tourament. Its like they need 10 chances to convert 1. They are really tearing the Italians up though.
Italy looks terrible.
WHAT A MISS!!! Should be 2-0 Mexico now

there is a link for the game if anyone is interested. Second half just kicked off.
The speed for Mexico is awesome right now though, its like they have a full of Charlie Davies.
swing and a miss on a easy chance for El Tri
I will tell you what, the US really need to get a nice run of luck out of the gate. But anyone who feels that we cant compete with England is crazy. We did just fine last year once we pulled our heads out of our rear ends against the best in the world.
He and his staff don’t realize that inside jokes do not broadcast well.
Univision, Telemundo,
The “host” on Studio 90 on US soccer.com is extremely annoying. The show seems to be all about him and not the players!
And Forza Italia!
Fulham will be playing pre-season friendlies in England in late July. However, given it’s so soon after the World Cup, the likes of Dempsey and EJ might not take part.
Italy and Portugal will flop in the tournament
and Germany won’t make it to the quarters.
heard it here 1st
All those warmup games might be paying off for Mexico. Their chemistry looks terrific, totally out-attacking Italy. They just missed a direct kick.
Mexico are all over Italy right now, dominating possession and getting more chances.
Nice goal by Vela! 1-0 Mexico!
try tuning into a major Spanish-speaking radio sation online…o sea si dominas el español

Link about the Altidore injury?
Terrible news about Jozy. Meanwhile, Rafa just left Liverpool. Also, I look for Pazzini to star for Italy.
At this stage in their preparations they would hospitalize him for precaution (they mentioned that his scans for a break came back negative which is good news). Problem is, a sprain can take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks to fully heal depending on the severity of it. Since we are less than 2 weeks from The England match question is if they will support it and put him back on the field or have him sit out the first game and play in the second 2.
Adam…word!
Go with Dempsey and Findley/Buddle/Gomez up top and start Holden/Donovan on the wings.
just the fact that he was “hospitalized” worries me
come on, links for the match.
If altidore is injured, start Buddle up with Findley for Australia.
They said he’s “day to day”. We’re still nine days away from game one. Stop wigging out.
Altidore better be okay!!!!!!
Reina is a beast.
hospitalized for sprained ankle. man that seems extreme.
Espn just broke the news. Damn!!
Nice work Churundolo, nice work.
what source did you get that from?
ESPN just reported Jozy Altidore hospitalized with a sprained ankle. My worst fears are starting to be realized.
damn Jozy
And Jozy Altidore has a “mild” sprained ankle…Got Damnit…
Anyone know where to get audio commentary for the Mexico v Italy match ?
Brian Ching to be top scorer for MLS this season with
20 goals. I said it first
any link for these matches?
O/T but
I plan to be in London at a hostel near Victoria Station for a week in late July. any chance Fulham will be practicing or playing a pre-season. I wanna meet Dempsey and EJ. Tell me they will be there
