If you're superstitious, you'll likely be wearing the same thing you wore Wednesday, sitting in the same seat, drinking the same beverage(s), surrounded by the same people. You likely won't be wherever you were on June 22, 2006.

If you're not that kind of soccer fan, then you'll be looking for the best possible place to root the United States on to the World Cup quarterfinals.

Either way, you'll want to be somewhere special as Landon Donovan, Michael Bradley, Tim Howard and the rest of the Yanks continue their magical run.

Where will you be watching USA-Ghana?

  1. hhahahaha didn’t think anyone from harrisburg was on here, try Molly Brannigans on 2nd street in downtown harrisburg, also Ceoltas on 2nd street. there are a ton of bars down there on 2nd street most advertising the World cup and they are all within walking distance, so you shouldn’t have any trouble. Parking is free on the weekends so don’t get fooled and put quarters in the meters, I have to work but I wish I was there

  2. at work in a group home for people with mental disabilities, I start at 3:00p so i am going in early with some pizza so i can watch the whole game with out interruption and we will have pizza for dinner when the game is over. The one guy i work with is obsessed with baseball and hates soccer, it will be the only annoying part of watching the game at work.

  3. I didn’t see the 2006 match. They weren’t showing it in Venice since the Italy game was on. Not sure where I’ll see it tomorrow but it will be with friends and family and will enjoy every moment of the game…but I’ll be less nervous about this game since anything outside of group play is always magical and never quite certain.

    We believe.

  4. I’m in Doha Qatar, so I’ll be watching on the big screen in the Villa D’Este compound clubhouse near Khalifa Stadium, unless someone on here suggests a better public place.

  5. Mezzanine Lounge Houston, Tx. Watched the USA-Mex WCQ there and the crowd was perfect. Enough room to find a seat if you’re there early, but enough true fans to make it a great experience. Ghana better watch out, THE YANKS ARE COMING!

  6. I am extremely superstitious but I’m not getting dressed up and going into work tomorrow to watch the game tomorrow. Instead I’ll recreate my US-England experience i figure we achieved the result I was looking forward to on that day so it is good enough if i cannot replicate the Algeria.

  8. The game overlaps with a swim-meet we have to attend, so a soccer-fan parent friend is bringing an RV with a TV to the meet! Thank god it’s on ABC.

  9. Scots-American Club in Kearny, NJ with the ESC and North Jersey Brigade! It’s within walking distance of Red Bull Arena and the PATH, so I advise anyone in the area to come out! $2 beers and shots, plus a 50/50 raffle with tons of prizes!

  10. Hey Ives, sitting in the same seat as Wednesday? How could anyone stay in one seat during that match? I changed my sitting position five times in order to change our luck vs. Algeria. Deuce (Onion Rings) hit the woodwork when I was laying down and Lando scored when I was standing. Consequently, I will be standing for the match at a pub in Cincy.

    C’mon you Yanks!

  11. Nevada’s and Dempsey’s are great if you want tightly packed, rabid fans (part of the experience). If you want a packed house with just a bit more elbow room try the Australian in Midtown. Big space and TV’s everywhere you turn (and Aussie chicks behind the bar). http://www.theaustraliannyc.com/
