If you're superstitious, you'll likely be wearing the same thing you wore Wednesday, sitting in the same seat, drinking the same beverage(s), surrounded by the same people. You likely won't be wherever you were on June 22, 2006.

If you're not that kind of soccer fan, then you'll be looking for the best possible place to root the United States on to the World Cup quarterfinals.

Either way, you'll want to be somewhere special as Landon Donovan, Michael Bradley, Tim Howard and the rest of the Yanks continue their magical run.

Where will you be watching USA-Ghana?

  1. Can’t believe they are showing the game. A manager once told me to “f off and get out” when I asked him to put a hockey game on.

  2. Some person said a beer garden a few places up. Why not take the MetroNorth into the City? Come down to Jack Demsey’s or whatever

  3. AO NYC usually watches at Jack Demsey’s and every experience so far has been epic. But in expectation of the “rabid fans,” Jack Demsey’s is working in conjunction with Legend’s (both between 33rd and 5th and 6th) as the official AONYC bars. Foley’s which is in between both is surely going to be unofficially taken over as well.

    Street takeover anyone?

  4. I watched the US v Algeria game at Malones Irish Pub on Forrest Rd (near the University).

There were about 30-40 of us Americas there (and a bunch of Scots and Irish cheering on the Americans as well). Get there a little early as the place was packed.

    Here is the website. http://www.malonesedinburgh.com/

    Cheers.

  6. Inside the stadium in the same disgusting unwashed US Jersey and track jacket that I wore to the US – Algeria game. Go Yanks!

  7. Most likely The Englander or Ricky’s in San Leandro, CA. I’m thinking about staying home though, the US plays great when I watch on my TV.
