Spain looks to play catch up in Group H when they face Honduras in Monday's late game (ESPN, ESPN3.com, 2:30 p.m.) at Ellis Park in Johannesburg.

A loss by La Furia Roja today would end any hopes of advancing to the knockout stages in a tournament that they entered as heavy favorites. Vincente Del Bosque has made a few changes as a result, with Fernando Torres and Jesus Navas getting the start today.

The Hondurans hope to hang with the reigning European champions and send Spain spiraling out of the tournament. David Suazo and Walter Martinez lead the attacking line for Los Catrachos, who need a win to keep their tournaments hopes alive.

I'll be providing live commentary during today's match. As always feel free to leave your comments, feelings and analysis in the comment section below.

Enjoy the Match.

FINAL- A win is a win, of course. Spain wasn't at its best today, and Villa will be disappointed at missing a hat trick. The tournament is over for Honduras, who will be playing for pride against the Swiss. That's all from me today. Leave all your post match thoughts in the comments section below.

FINAL- Spain 2, Honduras 0. An intriguing performance, and Honduras limit the damage. Spain may rue the numerous chances they've missed today, and will still need to win against Chile — and by at least two goals — to win Group H.

——————

92nd minute- Two minutes left in this one, Spain now looking as though they couldn't be bothered to try and score a third.

——————

90th minute- Once again, Spain fails to finish a beautiful move. Movement, passing are all crisp in Honduras' box, but again a long touch denies a scoring opportunity for Xabi Alonso.

——————

89th minute- Three points appear to be in the bag for Spain, though a number of missed chances may come back to haunt them. Honduras earns a late free kick.

——————

86th minute- Villa denied again. A turnover in the midfield sets up a 4-on-2, and instead of finishing a cross one-time, Villa takes a touch giving Honduras a chance to scramble back and clear for a corner.

——————

85th minute- Too casual from Spain as the game enters its final five minutes. Lacking a killer instinct, and finishing once again not the best.

——————

83rd minute- Villa denied by a slight tough from Figueroa after Mata sends in an excellent cross. Villa still looking for that hat trick.

——————

81st minute- Some sloppy defending from Pique sets up Honduras from a dangerous position. Welcome gets a head to it, but no chance as it's out for a goal kick.

——————

80th minute- No one picks up Puyol on a corner, and heads off the top of his head and over.

——————

78th minute- A late goal from Honduras would make things interesting over the final ten minutes.

——————

76th minute- Sergio Ramos is pulled for Albaro Arbeloa as Spain looks to see out the win.

——————

74th minute- Is Spain settling for the two goals? 15 minutes to go and padding their totals wouldn't be a bad idea.

——————

72nd minute- Mata shoots over as Spain looks to add another. Can't get too overconfident now, though Honduras has yet to truly threaten.

——————

70th minute- Fernando Torres is subbed out, with Juan Manuel Mata coming on. Not a good day for the Liverpool striker.

——————

69th minute- Spain should be entering Portugal territory today, but are squandering chance after chance. Will Honduras make them pay for it?

——————

68th minute- Close for Ramos! Honduras leaves three men in red wide open on a corner, Ramos volleys but it's deflected out for another corner.

——————

67th minute- Off the line! Fabregas rounds the 'keeper after making a deep run from midfield but it's cleared off the line by Suarez.

——————

66th minute- Xavi comes off for Cesc Fabregas.

——————

65th minute- Spain with another set of passes in the Honduran box, trying to pass it into the net. Honduras breaks, but Suazo misses well wide.

——————

63th minute- Honduras makes a change, as former FC Dallas player Edgar Nunez is now on for Honduras.

——————

61st minute- MISS! Villa misses wide right. So much for his third goal.

——————

61st minute- PENALTY SPAIN! Izaguirre catches Navas in the box, and while the Spaniard goes down rather easily, the ref got it right. Villa steps up for his hat trick.

——————

60th minute- The Honduran defenders get a breather as Martinez and Suazo attempt to create something against Spain's defense. Nothing doing at the moment.

——————

57th minute- Honduras can barely hold on to the ball, out to keep this a respectable scoreline, perhaps even nick a goal to make Spain sweat a little.

——————

55th minute- Spain will look to pad their goal difference, and break with numbers. Too many passes and not enough shots, however, and they only win a corner.

——————

54th minute- Slight injury concern as Pique looks to have taken a foot to the mouth and is bleeding.

——————

52nd minute- Honduras will hope to steady things at the back, but Ramos surges forward misses just wide.

——————

50th minute- GOAL SPAIN! That's what they needed. Honduras get forward on a rare attack, and a quick turnover leads to a Spain break. Navas cuts it back to Villa, and his shot takes a deflection off Chavez and into the net. Spain 2, Honduras 0.

——————

48th minute- An early goal for Spain will help to kill this off, but the longer it stays at this score, the more Honduras will grow in confidence.

——————

45th minute- Honduras with the ball in Spain's box — maybe the second time all game — and Pique slams it clear.

——————

45th minute- Georgie Welcome on for Espinoza at the half as Honduras kicks off.

——————

HALFTIME- Some statistics from the first half: Spain with 8 shots on goal to 1 for Honduras, 59%-41% of the possession, and have completed 253 passes to Honduras' 137.

——————

HALFTIME- Any predictions for the second half?

——————

HALFTIME- Honduras have it all to do, but considering that the it's a one goal deficit, they have plenty of time
and the opportunity to punish Spain for those misses. They've offered up very little, with no support of Suazo and Martinez when actually on the attack.

——————

HALFTIME- Spain 1, Honduras 0 at the half. A tremendous goal from Villa has Spain up at the break, but it could have been much more. Villa got away with a little flick to the face of Izaguirre as well, while Torres looks like he's still off the pace.

——————

45th minute- One minute of added time, as Honduras almost gets caught out.

——————

43rd minute- Still a 1-0 scoreline as Spain once again lacks a crisp final ball to really unlock Honduras at the back. Spain running rampant on the flanks.

——————

40th minute- Honduras holding on, conceding possession and a spate of free kicks in the span of a few minutes. Under five to go until the break.

——————

38th minute- In spite of the scoreline, Del Bosque doesn't look too impressed with his team tonight. A bit sloppy, and Torres has been particularly guilty.

——————

35th minute- Ten minutes to go. Honduras would do well to maintain the deficit at one, well within striking distance. Question is, can they actually see enough of the ball to score?

——————

33rd minute- Torres spoils two chances. Ramos dances around Izaguirre, but bounces the header off the pitch and over the bar. Then the midfield forces a turnover and he shanks it well over.

——————

31st minute- Spain seems a little to content to sit on this lead. Should have learned by now that one mistake can ruin all that good work and passing.

——————

29th minute- Torres with excellent position but gets his touch all wrong. Striker still looks a bit rusty after his injury layoff at the end of the 2010 season.

——————

26th minute- Nothing menacing so far from the Hondurans, who are struggling to get players forward when they have the ball.

——————

24th minute- Navas with a beautiful cross to a wide open header to Xavi, but he's just an inch or two shy of adding a second goal.

——————

23rd minute- Puyol does just enough to divert a chip from finding the feet of Walter Martinez. Will this be a typical Group H 1-0 result?

——————

21st minute- Honduras looks to get back into the game, but isn't doing much when they have the ball. Spain will look to pad their lead and pile on the pressure.

——————

18th minute- GOAL SPAIN! Villa does it all himself. Dances through two defenders at the top of the box, and curls a sliding shot into the top left corner of the goal. Spain 1, Honduras 0.

——————

17th minute- Another dangerous moment for Spain. Honduras enjoy a nice spell of possession, turning it into a half chance as Martinez tries to find Suazo with a chip over the top.

——————

15th minute- Bit of an awkward moment for Spain as Casillas comes out to clear a cross into the middle, fails to properly deal with it, setting up a follow up shot by Guevara that is headed away.

——————

12th minute- Turnovers have marred any Honduran possession as they struggle to keep the ball in Spain's half. David Villa cuts across and swerves a shot well wide.

——————

11th minute- Sergio Ramos heads over after Spain take a short corner and work it around for a cross. The ball actually hits his shoulder not his head, should have done better with that chance. Nice movement off the ball for Spain.

——————

10th minute- An early goal is key for Spain here. They've seen most of the ball and are trying to carve openings in the Honduran defense.

——————

8th minute- Turcios goes in the book for blocking a quick restart. Spain with the free kick.

——————

7th minute- Off the bar! David Villa strikes a shot from distance that beats Valladares but hits the top of the bar.

——————

5th minute- Walter Martinez with a bad turnover in the box, forces an error that Spain can't convert into a real opportunity.

——————

4th minute- Navas is deployed on the right hand side, and will give Spain width that was somewhat missing against Switzerland.

——————

2nd minute- All three matches in Group H have ended in a 1-0 result. Spain, has to convert possession into goals this time around in an attempt to reverse that trend.

——————

1st minute- And we're off. Honduras look for the upset, while Spain needs to get the win.

——————
