After a hectic day of World Cup drama, MLS action continues out in Sandy, Utah, as the New England Revolution travel out west to take on the defending champions Real Salt Lake (Direct Kick, 10:00 p.m.).
Kyle Beckerman — who has been out several weeks with a foot injury, might be available and make his return for RSL, while forward Robbie Findley could see his first MLS action since returning from the World Cup in South Africa. At the very least, Salt Lake hopes to keep their excellent home form intact, owning a 5-0-2 mark in Utah.
Things aren't as rosy for New England, a side that comes into Friday night's encounter having won just once since April 10. Their road form has also been quite poor, going 1-5-0 away from Gillette Stadium. And the last time they made the trip out to Rio Tinto, New England lost 6-0. Revenge, and the need to start turning around the 2010 season, adds the pressure to the visitors.

I wonder if Findley gets called up to the Brazil friendly?
It was so one sided, RSL was able to put Findley in so that he could practice some moves and shots for the next world cup…
germany must have watched the RSL game last night. they made the argentina defense look like the REVS defense.
if only findley could score for the national team
Only if you’re a NE fan, which I’m not. I thought it was funny.
Troll
Let’s call it Deliverance part 2. And like any sequel, (usually) not as good as the original (i.e. 6 last year, 5 this year.
RSL can’t read too much into this. NE just isn’t very good on the road this year. RSL had a little bit of a let down after last year’s 6-0.
Perhaps next year they (NE) should mail a white flag to Jason Kries, concede the 3 points, and save on travel expenses.
5-0: Espindola, Olave, Saborio (2), and Findley.
What was the final scoreline?
I’m proud of the lads and their progress.
Next year we’re only going to lose 4-0 in Utah.
Terrible performance by RSL. Couldn’t even match what they did last year against New England… /sarcasm
Wow, that announcer partnering with Heaps is extremely dumb. Nice thumping by RSL infront of their home crowd.
RSL now 8-0-2 in their last 10 games this season and 18 straight at home without a loss (2nd all time in MLS history) dating back to last season….best game I have seen in my six years as an RSL fan….surgicaly destroyed and dominated New England….Sabaro with a two (should have a third that was called off-side)…Findley on as a sub nets one and nearly two….GREAT night for Real…:)
New England were just treated like they were narcs at a biker convention. Holy crap. That was the worst reaming since “Deliverance.”
Literally just scored as I read this comment. LOL.
Oh look, Findley still sucks.
