SBI On The American Soccer Show

In case you missed it, I made a recent appearance on the American Soccer Show on the Champions Soccer Radio Network. We discussed everything from Thierry Henry to the U.S. national team, to MLS in general. Here is the show.

For those wondering, yes, we are going to be adding an SBI Podcast in the near future. It's just a matter of selecting the people to work with us to make the show happen.

Give the above show a listen and feel free to share your thoughts on the discussion in the comments section below.

  2. Brevity is the soul of wit. That doesn’t mean the show has to be short, but if individual thoughts are rambled over again and again…That’s why I like your posts and Q&A responses.

  3. Both of you are correct, but it doesnt hurt to get young talent involved early on. Im not saying we should start him in any tournanments, but we have to show interest to emerging talent inorder to stay competitive. However, even that sometimes doesnt work…Subotic, Rossi, etc…

  4. I’d help with a podcast!

My puppetry skills are mediocre, else we could do Special1 TV – US.

    “Shut up Bradley!”
    Puppet Dempsey.
Calls from “The Bruce,” Zigi, Adu, and Clark, the lost love child of Bradley.

  5. Also he doesn’t qualify to be on the team in the first place so how can we cap him… US fans are as desperate as City fans…

  6. I tend to believe reports that LD and his ex-wife are going to stay divorced. Was listening to your point about him wanting to stay in LA because of her — don’t think that’s true. If the entertainment tabloids of the world are to be believed, he has been “enjoying” his new notoriety.

  7. Will the USSF2 week in review posts and power rankings make a comeback now that the cup is over and some resources are free?

If not and you need someone to do it, email me and I can send you a writing sample.

  8. Capping him against Brazil on August 10 won’t matter one bit. Per the new rules changes, you can switch countries even after playing in friendlies with the senior national team. That’s how we got Jermaine Jones. He was capped three times by Germany, but all in friendlies….

  9. Ives, off topic, but can you please give an update on Clint Dempsey? Is he back training with Fulham? Are they letting him rest for a few weeks before his return? Or is he off to comewhere new, like AC Milan or Liverpool?

  10. I agree, whats the harm really?…. put him on the squad to face brazil on the 10th! Well, that may be a bit early but we have to lock this kid down.
