  1. Yeah a $1000 fine should bankrupt them :-p I kid…..

But at least $10,000.00 fine or no bonus for getting to the group stages.

  2. Barnes got a yellow for attempting to headbutt Freddie after they both were fouling each other going down the sideline. Should’ve been a red, really.

Perovic definitely got clipped, but he attempted to heave himself into the box and sell a PK. The ref, luckily, did not buy it. Should’ve been a free kick right outside the box though.

  3. Yeah, blatant time wasting and diving are two things that really turn off a lot of casual American fans. This game had such an extreme amount of time wasting that it really should get some attention from CONCACAF. Maybe deduct Arabe some points from the CCL, or fine the club an amount of money that will really hurt them, or perhaps make them play a CCL home game in an empty stadium.

  4. There are all sorts of easy changes to limit time wasting that are obvious to American sport fans. The problem is some international soccer fans are fans of acting as much as they are of sports, and they don’t want to clean it up.

  5. BAN Arabe Unido from the competition forever… Just got back from the game and have to say that was the most pathetic, cowardly, and embarrassing display I have ever witnessed. I can’t believe what I witnessed. The stretcher crew worked twice as hard as any player from AU. It’s sad, because I was very excited for CCL and to see MLS teams do well. Not sure I’d care to ever witness that again…

  6. was in attendance at the RSL game tonight. They did MLS proud, played their A line-up and came out with energy and passion.

But that was an embarassing performance from Aribe. Blatant diving and laying on the ground literally every minute or two. Guys not even involved in a play laying on the ground asking for a stretcher. Tonight, soccer takes 2 steps backward in America. There was 8 minutes of stoppage time in the 2nd half, it could have been 15 easy. I just cant grasp this idea of being a total ‘gina and faking injury. Have they no pride at all? Pathetic performance. Worst game I have ever seen. CONCACAF should do something- what?- penalize them or warn them?

  7. What a great night for American soccer. Columbus and RSL win in CCL and Chivas lose the Copa Libertadores final. Cheers! 😀

  8. So now up to Seattle to make it a clean sweep for the MLS tomorrow, although in fairness, other three games were MLS home games and Seattle had to travel to Honduras.

Still, a win or a draw would make the MLS look very good after 1st round.

  9. I couldn’t laugh if I were Kreis. Figure he’s seen this quite a bit more and has had it mean more, but, still, wow. Wonder what they’d be doing (and permitted to do) if/when they are in Panama?

Hope the Panamanian coach enjoyed his apple 🙂

  10. YES Penalty! ARABE deserve that for all the diving and time-wasting.

I think a rule should be created that if a player needs to be stretchered off they should wait atcleast 5 minutes before they can enter the field.

  11. The panamanians time wasting is worse than El Salvadors time wasting when USA played them at their home during qualifying. Its ridiculous. RSL deserve this win. And im a Galaxy fan

  12. That Arabe goalkeeper needs to confine his spaz attacks to his play and close his mouth. That header from the Salt Lake player was totally legit
