  1. Dude, in their place came Bassong, Palacios, Pav, and Dos Santos. Bassong and Palacios were consistent starters last year and all Pav did was score goals whenever he played. Like I said, Dos Santos is the only questionable change…

  2. 4 changes, King, Huddlestone, Lennon and Crouch.

It isn’t THAT weak and yes “young boys” are playing well. But those are some pretty key players. Add to that that Assou-Kotto had an ABSOLUTE nightmare and before his goal, Bassong was equally dreadful.

  3. O/T but the NT needs to do a friendly with Finland. They are pretty low ranked so would be an easy victory haha. Seriously why can’t the MNT travel instead of their usual Camp Cupcake thing. Let them visit Scandinavia and play Norway or Iceland or Finland.

  4. Spurs pull one back with a nice header from Bassong. If they can manage one more goal in the second half that would probably put them in prime position to secure a good result at White Hart Lane.

  5. I wouldn’t call this a weak side for Spurs. Only change that can be considered surprising is Dos Santos for Lennon…everyone else played a pretty large role for the team last year

  6. Lol……. I cant wait for the day where MLS can hold onto players like Toja…. Dude had skills

AND Adu was drafted by Dallas but MLS forced them to trade him to DCU

  7. Mine was installed yesterday. In about ten minutes, I decided that it was a great move. FSC looks awesome in HD. I even watched an old rerun of Football Superstar last night. Comcast=crap.

  8. Dos Santos starts on the right for Spurs. 1st start in 11 months for him. Looks like Harry has figured how to get the best out of him. Nice to see CONCACAF represented on the big stage like this.

  9. Just got DirecTV hooked up on Sunday, in time for all but the first few minutes of Arsenal-Liverpool, and it’s already infinitely awesomer than Comcast. Having Fox Soccer Plus and the soccer-specific floater channels is great. Not to mention, we get “Comcast Sports” channels that we didn’t get with Comcast… go figure. Definitely looking like a good decision.

  10. I just found it on my FSN channel, thankfully. Crisis averted.
Also, for those enjoying the Young Boys name, you’ll love it when you find out their stadium used to be called Wankdorf.
    Spectacular.

  11. Dynamo Kiev-Ajax and Zenit-Auxerre are the most compelling match ups on this slate. I wish they got rid of the champions path and nonchampions path. Under the existing system, Ajax could miss out of the Champions League (because they were drawn against the strongest non-seeded team in the nonchampions path) but MSK Zlinna and FC Coppenhagen be in (because they are paired against other “minnows”, who happened to be the champions in the third tier leagues).
