  1. I agree Red Bull Arena is a beautiful stadium but the city and even stadium isnt ready for the growing interest in RB soccer. Concession stands, bathrooms and overall organization needs major improvement.

About this game as an American born in NYC from Colombian parents I would have liked to have seen the game in RB Arena. But ill settle for a nice road trip to PPL Park.

  2. Agree with you.

Going to the Red Bull Arena is still a nightmare. The city of Harrison is not ready for it yet. I hope they fix the situation before the begining of the next season.

  3. Totally. Let’s have all the Euro guys fly from LA back to Europe on Wednesday and be ready to rejoin their clubs for their weekend fixtures.

  4. Because nobody in Miami shows up unless the team is winning. The Heat attendance was disgraceful for a playoff team with D-Wade this year.

Bandwagon expansion city to its core that couldn’t even support an MLS team. And you want the USMNT to come to you?

    Child please.

  5. And to add to this, it’s a 25,000 capacity stadium, with the option of expanding to 35,000. It would be a great setting for a US-Columbia friendly. I just don’t think the town (Harrison, NJ) in which the stadium is situated in, is ready to handle a full capacity crowd. So far I’ve been to every Red Bulls home game this season, including friendlies. Exiting the area is always a hassle. Whether your leave by car or mass transit.
Which is why I think the Red Bulls turned down the offer to host the MLS Cup this year. But they area is under construction in gear for next season, So hopefully we’ll see a lot more marquee matches coming our way.

  6. First off, Julio, you are a disgrace.

Although, Let’s hope that the manager at the time does not bring the best players because they have to travel through the warzone that is Chester to get to the stadium. I don’t want to hear that Dempsey or Donovan were killed in a driveby shooting.

  7. the only reason i wish it was in Red Bull Arena is because they played in Philly before going off to the World Cup, while New Yorkers could only see the Czech Republic v Turkey game. MLS and NY get a first class stadium, but USSF seems reluctant to go. And if u dont think Red Bull Arena would fill up, here this… the night the released the game being played in Philly, New York Red Bulls played San Jose Earthquakes at Red Bull Arena with over 21,000 in attendance, it would definitely fill for US MNT!

  8. Not a bad decision, I’d say. Give some props to new MLS team, fill up a stadium, avoid an area with tons of Colombians, and voila!, recipe for a victory.

The real questions are these: who coaches, and what new players do we see?

  9. I’ll probably head down to this game but things could change. Good thing is, no National League playoffs that night, so tickets wont go unused thanks to a Phillies playoff game.

  10. Ummmm the US can easily get 20K out for any game in any stadium of an MLS city if they field the A team, the game is vs Colombia, you got any clue how many Colombians there are in NY?

  11. We’r tired of playing home games with away crowds. Why do you think we play Mexico in Columbus? Why would we go play in Miami and have a overwhelmingly Colombian audience? Plus, which stadium? An NFL stadium? Philly has a great new SSS.

And obviously Bob doesn’t make these decisions.

  12. Philly are you freaking kidding me??? You could have come down to South Beach and brought all that talent here (Lebron James like) and you decide to play in that dump that is Philly?????? Oh my. What a terrible decision by the US Comittee, someone should be fired…ohh wait, no wonder Bob is about to be let go. Did he do this being cynical?? I’m kidding but really this is a piss poor choice of a location when you have all those hot Colombian ladies in Miami and could have packed the house with all the folks from Doral, Kendall and Miramar.
