The next chapter in DaMarcus Beasley's career is set to begin.
Fresh off of playing in three friendlies last week, one of which he scored in, Beasley will be aiming to make his official Hannover 96 debut when the club does battle with Bayer Leverkusen. Beasley could potentially be in Hannover's starting eleven, as he was signed to replace injured winger Carlitos.
For Stuart Holden, this weekend provides him with his first opportunity to take on one of England's big four. Holden and his club, Bolton Wanderers, will travel to Emirates Stadium hoping to pull off an upset as they look to remain in the top part of Premiership standings. Bolton currently sits in fifth place with five points from three games. Second-place Arsenal has seven.
Looking for a battle between Americans? Look no further then Clint Dempsey and Fulham's match against Marcus Hahnemann and Wolves. Dempsey has yet to score in Premier League play this season, and Hahnemann is in search of his first shutout so it should be interesting to see if either player can change that.
Here is a rundown of who the Americans Abroad will be playing this weekend:

Right, everyone has their opinion. However, Gera came on last match and chased everything. Dempsey didn’t, maybe he wasn’t told to, maybe he was sick. Either way, he didn’t put in the effort that he should have or that he is known. BTW he is my favorite Nat player, so its not rose colored glasses here either.
I won’t argue that the guy would have been useful this cycle. And he probably will be useful during qualifying even if he will be most likely be a bit past it by 2014.
Talented, yeah….but I can’t like the guy much.
We need someone like that on our National team. Not a dirty player, but someone not afraid to commit hard tackles.

the fact that we saw Dempsey’s sub stint differently is not because of ‘rose colored glasses’. The point is that Hughes, like many managers, has people he favors. The fact that he immediately relegated Dempsey, the clubs leading scorer in total for the last three seasons, to the bench indicates that he doesn’t rate him. I think he’s wrong. Dempsey’s production is evidence for his value. No rose colored glasses, just facts.
US fans seem to have rose colored glasses about the EPL and Dempsey.
In the EPL new managers want their own people in place and as a holdover from the last regime who hasn’t exactly set the world on fire lately, Dempsey is very much at risk.
He had a good year last year but there is a new sheriff in town and based on what I’ve seen, Sparky isn’t impressed with Dempsey’s past or his present. If Clint doesn’t start tearing it up soon, it could be a very long year for him.
I’d give Clint a long run but it’s not my job at risk.
Get used to watching JJ and seeing fouls which are unfortunate. He’s a bit of thug…a talented thug…but still.
ok, that was what you saw. Not necessarily what everyone else saw. Your opinion has merit as does anybody else’s but I disagree rather wholeheartedly.
And since we’re offering up opinions, I think that Dempsey will never be a favorite of Hughes….and I think Sparky is wrong. But hey, he’s a manager.

That’s the question, and Zamora said he was fit to play as well. I’d expect Gera to start behind Zamora with Dembele on the wing in Duff’s place. Clint flat out doesn’t deserve it based on his play in the last match unless his attitude had improved during training.
He was red carded in their last game, but I’m not sure if there is a suspension or not. He didn’t make the gameday roster against Rennes either.
I think Davies is playing for the reserves for Sochaux
Jermaine Jones got a yellow card in today’s loss against TSG Hoffenheim 0-2. He went all 90 mintues I didnt get to see the whole game just caught the last 10 minutes of the game. He fouled a player which didn’t seem like a foul to me and the player converted the free kick and scored a goal which gave TSG Hoffenheim a 2-0 win over Schalke 04
anyone got clips of all of McBride’s goals at Fulham? Most tribute videos are of his Best goals or his goals from 04-06, but id like to see them from the 06-07 season where he led Fulham in scoring with 13 goals.
I prefer when the games are on saturday though my sundays are usually boring haha.
Heard Goodson is heading to Denmark in January. A nice step up for Norway. I hope he can find his way to Holland or Germany. Maybe for a low ranked team but he could definitely start.
Holden
is definitely a starter for Bolton. That is GREAT. Let’s all hope he stays clear of injury.
Well Zamora is still injured and if Duff is injured for sure Dempsey will start. But will he play up top with Gera or supporting Dembele or play on the wing?
Also, rumor has it Duff is injured, so Dempsey needs to take the bull by the horns per say, and make that spot his.
Not just starting, but doing very well. I’ve caught a couple of Bolton games already this year, and he’s been one of there best players. He’s been doing a lot of defensive work, putting in some great tackles. Plus, he’s been really good in possession and he takes a lot of their set pieces.
He moped around the field and didn’t put in a shift in his 25 minutes last match. Hopefully, Hughes has addressed it, and he is ready to make a spot his.
Mostly just glad to see club ball pick up again.
I hope Clint gets the start and is allowed to go 90 minutes. He has looked good for Fulham each time he’s come on and makes them look like a much more dangerous team, despite not scoring himself yet.
Also looking forward to seeing Stu Holden play against such high quality opposition.
Finally! Last week felt so long with any good games on, should be nice t see hhow beasley does and see if holden plays good vs. Arsenal. Any news on davies?
