Cummings brace leads Rapids to victory

The Colorado Rapids sent a clear message on Wednesday night to anybody expecting them to fold up and be the team to fall out of a playoff place.

Don't hold your breath.

Omar Cummings scored a pair of goals while newly-acquired Mac Kandji delivered two assists to help the Colorado Rapids register a 4-1 victory against the Philadelphia Union at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The win, coupled with San Jose's loss to Chicago, allowed the Rapids to move up to fourth in the Western Conference and keep an eight-point cushion on a playoff berth.
