  2. surprised that belgium gave germany such as scare!

well i guess with players like hazard, lukaku & dembele they will be a handful for many teams.

  3. I would prefer Lampard not starting with Gerrard on the same team. I know it’s a sin to even think it, but Gerrard is better in Lamppard position. I see a formation of 4-4-2 with Gerrard, Barry, Milner, Wolcott, Rooney and Defoe. Terry is also out. He is a distraction.

  4. Defoe with the hat trick. I guess we now know Defoe starts up top with Rooney. Though I always say a 4-5-1 with Rooney lone striker supported by Gerrard and Lampard with Milner and Lennon on the wings and Barry as the holding midfielder. what you guys think? It would have worked in the WC.

  5. Jermaine Defore with a brace for England so far. 15mins to go. So England have basically Rooney, Defoe, Crouch. They’ll need 2 more strikers. Yes Euro 2012 is still 2 years away, but what you think? I say bring up Agbonlahor and Carroll. Both younger and stronger and can score. Rooney either needs to score or go HOME.

  6. Torres has 26goals in 81 appearances for Spain. Youngest Spaniard to reach that many caps though most likely Sergio Ramos and Cesc Fabregas will pass that achievement as they are years younger and eat up caps like oxygen.

Torres is also now tied as 5th highest goal scorer for Spain and tied 7th for most caps as a Spaniard. By the time he retires, he could have the most caps next to Casillas.

  7. Torres with the brace. Yeah it was against Liechenstein but still good goals and gets his morale up. Dude is hungry and he with Villa and crew will lead Spain to demolish everyone else on way to Euro2012

  8. Poor Rossi, Italy’s strikers looked sub par. I feel bad because he is atleast competent enough to make the bench. It is kinda of shocking since a player outside Italy could actually help their team.

  9. Would be hilarious to see Italy lose to Estonia. Wish Scotland could get to a tournament for the first time in forever (’98).

Anybody else see the FIFA statement that Iberia has a very competitive bid for WC ’18 or ’22? If that were the case, and they weren’t planning on going Euro back to back, we could conceivably end up with the 2018 tournament.
