BY ADAM SERRANO
A pair of clubs striving for a playoff berth face off in a must win match at the Home Depot Center as the Kansas City Wizards take on Chivas USA.
Both clubs come into the match red hot and will need a victory in order to keep their slim dreams of a playoff berth alive. The Wizards are 4-3-1 since July and find themselves nine points outside of a postseason spot. Chivas USA enter the match fresh off a victory in the ChivaClásico over Chivas de Guadalajara hoping to continue a run that will keep the Rojiblancos playoff run on life support.
I will be providing commentary throughout the match so please feel free to follow along here. As always, feel free to share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
Enjoy the action (Commentary is after the jump)
FINAL – The whistle is blown and Chivas USA's slim hopes of making the playoffs are over thanks to a 2-0 victory by the Kansas City Wizards. In what was a mundane match up, the Wizards were able to capitalize off a pair of Chivas USA mistakes thanks to their star Kei Kamara. The forward added an assist and a beautiful goal that will keep his club's playoff dreams to play.
The Wizards still have seven games left to play and may be very dangerous heading into the final weeks of the season. That's all for me tonight, thank you for following along and check back to SBI for more coverage of tonight's game later. This has been Adam Serrano, thank you for following.

good win, ugly game, both goals very nice though
Following from Boston, but KC’s my second team. Stick it to ’em, whizzers!
Excellent pre-game interview by Sasha Victorine with Jurgen Klinsmann. Klinsi showed just how much he is a strategist, thinking holistically and applying a European(German) perspective of the American player and game. He knows what is best to move US soccer to the next level. It’s an absolute shame we could not garner his signature for the USMNT job.
KC commentators = incredibly biased (they don’t even know the other team’s players’ names most of the time)
